If you look at health and disability through the eyes of the +World Health Organization you will see that disability is not a diseased event and health impacts every industry and part of our culture. View through the lens of health and design and you can see how we can design not only better health, but an easier world for all.

So excited about relaunch- and it's so involved! Here's a cool new feature I'm trying out in the x theme of the Envira extension that's included or can be purchased separately. I clicked the photo to share on G+, this popped up and gave me the photo and description all at once- cool eh?! Must not to write a description with photos ;-)

Content Hubs are the wave of the future, and one that by listening to our users and communities we were able to forecast and prepare to build over the past five years- here are forty great example of content hubs (in earlier days and possibly confused with depending on the definition with PRN, personal networks. A beautiful job on this slideshare done by Tiblio.

A great slideshow that shows the top three favorite content tools of hundreds of social media leaders. Part of an article and a downloadable PDF / ebook on content marketing tools (within the wide range of its definition.) Great reads.

Incredibly simple UX from the homepage- boxes of categories of content that lead to lists in which each list then has its own page. So simple. While I may add photos, visual or color- it's really lovely in its' simplicity.

Imagine the impact if all businesses and organizations realized the impact of sensory integration for all their users-customers-patients the way parents of children with extra-ordinary needs have had to learn!

Sensory FX, shown here with some of the scent lines, has made a large business out of adding any of its over 2,000 scents, 1400 flavors that are both Halaal and Kosher, and/or its tastes or colors to other companies' products. What do we learn from what the company that runs both an R&D center and a manufacturing plant out of S. Africa and sells to the African continent and the world? Per the company:

"Sensory FX is a leading developer and manufacturer of the widest variety of flavours and fragrances for use in all types of consumer products.

Whether you’re looking for the familiar, standard, tried and tested or if you’re after something new – a completely original scent, Sensory FX has the solution for you.

It’s our business to help you find the right taste, the right smell and the right colour for your products. With our team of talented, well-trained and experienced flavourists and perfumers, we hit the mark time and time again. We are able to do this because we keep abreast of international trends and understand that your business centers around taste, smell and colour.

Bottom line: we can help you find that magical flavour and / or fragrance that will set you apart from your competition."

In order to do all of this, this tells us that the financial impact on using sensory integration in product design is so influential on consumer choice that it can sustain companies as large as Sensory RX that do nothing but focus on this "tiny niche." We often think about sensory only in terms of helping someone who is ill or in need- the truth is the senses have a profound impact on us all. Imagine how much business could profit (not only financially but in terms of what they offered customers-patients-users) if they considered what some have had to learn being caregivers of children with sometimes extra-ordinary needs!
