There was a wealthy or famous family feat/trait that gave you 900 go at the start. It gave me an idea.
I dropped the 900 and gave different "wealth levels" depending on the social class and heroic professional class. An example was a low class but child of a famous family would get a low wealth living standard simply by telling stories and airing the families dirty laundry in the pub for food, drinks and a place by the fire.
At higher levels of living standard the money is linked to someone else the adventurer come into town and locates the families local factor who rents a room or household of the correct social class and hires the servants. The players character gets no money, while the aristocracy and nobility Do get the money from the factor, it is beneath their dignity to carry it. They have their personal servant rent the household with the help of the factor and over see the servants and money.
While these others don't mind the Party crashing with their Master, if these "retinue" expect a certain level of service. The servants and factors will make arrangements.
On top of this noble and arstoctatic standards of living require attending or even holding court parties. As well as showing the family history, wealth and colors, the wealth and history by wearing one or two masterwork items, depend on class, which are relics of family history. These are considered a focus of the noble and aristocratic living standard.
Also remember that if you are looking for a theme for "money". Day to day purchases unless you are very high class coin isn't necessary, the roman soldiers were paid in salt.
If a local settlement has a stable resource it would make sense to issue "pay" in this item so that locals can trade it amount themselves, and neighboring settlements at a standard rate set by local brokers. Picture going to the brokers shop ing the morning to check his blackboard by the door for current exchange rates and service prices then going to the market to buy the weeks food and drink.

If you remember out of one hundred humans were Full Talent Class Character, the more fantastic races had only one in fifty. Which in my campaign explained the level limit as fewer people were feeding their Heroic power.
if then check the number of temples, mage schools, thieves guilds, etc. to see ablout demi-Talent officers. Also remember according to the clauses a smaller than normal organization has lower standard officer "demi-talent" level limits.

Thanks for the review, I've read through the rules and recognized what you were talking about easily. I had wondered if the dice pool rolls for healing hit points were per rest or day.. Still a major bounce back. Now though I had tried to get in on the beta testing overtime killed it. I was left wondering if the ranger was a fighter specialist. And if they were trying to make it possible to play until third level before you had to decide what kind of fighter you were.

Actually there are two forms of what I call Heroic Talent, the Full talent, who is like your normal player character. And then there is the Demi Talent, As sergent in a militia is first level and can gain xp until they get to the first level maximum then stop dead. the demi talents can only advance if there is a place in their organization. the demi talents levels only exist if they are in the organization, whether temple, militia, merchant carvan, tribe, etc. A full talent can take the place of a demi talent but not in reverse. this gives you enough talent to keep the adventures from flattening a town of zero level mundanes, a tenth level fight may trounce a sergent but what he can't do while fighting the sergent is take his otherwise permited ten attacks against zero levels.
As first level adventurer there may be other leveled talent around but very few are going anywhere. the demi-talents may be socities scales but you as the adventures are its claws, and fire breath.
that does't mean that mundanes can't advance, when non weapon profiecnies were created a clause allowed them to gain them at the price of 1d4 years. I ruled that a mundane could do the same with weapon proficencies, which explain the bonuses veteren combat units get. while that gives elven mundanes a hidious advantage in skills do you have any Idea how long it takes to make a sword and sheath when the craftsman is trying to make the blade, the scabard, the grip, and the inscriptions on each a master work.. and has the TIME to do it.
are there high levels around yes but most are like you even when you are first level.

I like the Cleric class, and agree that some may misunderstand what they do. Part of the problem as I see it is many look at a cleric an see a big shaking finger of a diety.. No.. No.. Noooooo........
But I look on it the other way. Minions are the hands of the gods, Clerics are the voice of the peaple to the Gods. Lets says you are a Goodwife whose middle son is missing, who you gona call.. Not the fighter, the theif? really? the wizard oh. god no.. God yes the priest how about him. Bring him a chicken to sacrifice ask him to pray for her sons safety.
Well maybe he doesn't actually sacrifice the chicken. Maybe trades it for something his deity whould like. He adds the prayer to his morning ritual to get his spells.. and discovers one spell isn't what he asked for. A clue, a very minor miricle, the cleric helps those who need the help of the Gods. They may be asked to marry, or officiate at other social rituals, this allows them to get close to locals, do favors, and learn things.
