PhD student +Toke Printz  generated a jpg to rasterscan file generator, and simulated carbon ion fluence distributions with SHIELD-HIT12A in water tanks.

I better bring some Radiochromic films next beamtime, to validate his simulations.

Tripoint Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria, taken today. CZ is peninsula to the left, SK riverbank in background and me standing on AT side.

The actual tripoint is to the right in the river, still on this picture. It is exactly located on a line from the SK border stone in the background running to another border stone on the Austrian side (not in picture, located far to the right).

This was a bit more challenging to reach, as roads were not marked by google maps, I had to follow tiny paths in the forest. I think it should be more easily approached from Slovakian side.

Report with details will follow...

Tripoint DE, AT, CZ. :)
Not sure what happened to the forest, possibly acid rain from the 80ies?
