Interesting place to learn about irish history!the castle tour is quite entertaining, and you can see the black lake right after that!don't miss the chapel, with free entrance, on the left side of the castle: it is just wonderful!

The tour of this Dublin Castle is only worth is for the money you pay. It isn't very extensive and the old castle part is only one piece with the cylinder building. Would recommend it if you are first timers, but explore it yourself to more pictures and absolutely visit the garden area by it. Very peacful.

This is a good place to visit in Dublin since it reflects part of the history of Ireland. It is not what you would expect a castle to look like, but the unique history of Dublin and Ireland are the reason for that.

Fully restored, the former seat of British power in Ireland is now one of the cities most treasured attractions. The grounds themselves are really worth a look, but it's also home to the Chester Beatty Library and some of the most prestigious state rooms in the country, which you can get a guided tour of. You can also visit part of the ancient viking protective bank that used to surround the original site of the city, dating to around 900AD
