After long long development, we are happy to release today our Idea Management System -  Gi2MO IdeaStream for Drupal 7.x !!

The new version is a full rewrite. It comes with a complete feature set of ALL functionalities that were previously available only in our Drupal 6.x version.

We will maintain both 6.x and 7.x versions. This is due to Drupal 6.x having a lot of independent developers support. The module and theme resources still are significantly bigger for 6.x then for Drupal 7.x.

However, if you are already an active Drupal 7.x user or can't wait to try it, read the details about our Idea Management module in the new blog post over at the Gi2MO blog: post: http://www.gi2mo.org/2014/07/gi2mo-ideastream-for-drupal-7-x-released/

Introducing a new release for IdeaStream Analytics - a data analysis modules for our Open-Source Idea Management System.

The update delivers a feature called Cluster Analysis - an automatic solution for detecting and summarising groups of ideas by topic based on previous term annotations (tags, categories, keywords etc.).

For a detailed description see a post from Gi2MO blog: http://www.gi2mo.org/2013/08/figure-out-your-ideas-introducing-cluster-analysis-in-ideastream-analytics-v1-7-release/

We're back to development!

After some research oriented work, it's again time for some news about our mature software developments.

Today, our open-source Idea Management System leaves alpha and goes into stable build with the v1.7 release!

The new version has a few bug fixes and minor enhancements. yet, the biggest focus in v1.7 is on themes and redesigning IdeaStream to fit your needs!

We deliver an alternative IdeaStream theme called IdeaStream Rainbow. It's a more colourful variation of the old clean enterprise-like theme.

To see IdeaStream Rainbow in action and other case studies of IdeaStream redesigns from different organisations head over to the Gi2MO blog:

Introducing a new software prototype: Gi2MO Relationship Visualizer.

The prototype aims to plot the relationships between ideas in an Idea management System onto a single graph.

The app allows to filter relationships by type and select individual ideas to view their connections and have an overview of their data.

The software was constructed as a demonstrator for THOFU project (www.thofu.es) where we investigated types of relationships between ideas in the environment of hotel services, tourism etc.

For details about the release app see: http://www.gi2mo.org/2013/03/idea-relationship-visualisation-with-gi2mo-technologies/

Additionally, you might want to check a fresh screen cast posted by us on youtube that demoes the whole thing: Gi2MO Relationship Visualizer

Announcing a new presentation from Gi2MO Project!

Instead of a conference talk, this time it's gonna be a PhD defence by Adam Westerski at UPM, Madrid.

The presentation will outline and sum up the research on use of Semantic Technologies in Idea Management for interoperability, linking and filtering of data.

This means lots of talk about experiments, evaluations on generation of metadata in Idea Management as well as attempts to formalize and classify the knowledge that community innovation conveys.

If you would like to know the details or download the thesis check out a  blog post at the Gi2MO website: http://www.gi2mo.org/2013/02/upcoming-thesis-defence-on-semantic-technologies-in-idea-management/

We are pleased to announce another article from Gi2MO project!

This time its about classification of ideas and annotation based on our Gi2MO Types taxonomy.

The article discusses the theoretical background of the taxonomy and gives insight into a huge number of experiments conducted to test if the taxonomy can be useful in Idea Management Systems.

To check out the outline of the article and see the results in the paper proceed to the related blog post:

A new update to Gi2MO Ontology - the data model that lays foundations to our understanding of Idea Management Systems.

Gi2MO ontology is a specification on how to export and move around Idea Management data across systems and integrate it with other information (e.g. for data visualisation or search).

The new v0.6 version contains integrated properties from our Gi2MO Links idea relationship hierarchy. Additionally, in the new release, we also updated the model for idea versioning and tracking past iterations of innovations.

For more details see a related blog post: http://www.gi2mo.org/2012/12/gi2mo-ontology-v0-6-a-close-up-look-at-idea-relationships-with-gi2mo-links-hierarchy/

Also, refer to new page in the Gi2MO Models to see a full explanation of the hierarchy: http://www.gi2mo.org/model/idea-relationships/
