I like this theater in general; you can see less mainstream movies here in a more comfortable setting than the Drexel. However, I recommend making sure your movie is not in tiny Theater #7 which unfortunately shares (thin?) walls with the lobby. During quiet parts of the movie (of which there were many) you could hear a lot of noise coming from outside which was more distracting than the old guy who fell asleep and started snoring at several points.

I enjoy going to Gateway it is right off of campus and a great spot. There are many places around it so there is a lot of stuff to do after your movie. The prices are good compared to the Lennox and parking is right in the Gateway center. Food is expensive but good. Everyone is friendly and things always go smoothly. College crowd.

Gateway Film Center is a must stop place in Columbus, Ohio. It doesn't matter if you're visiting the University, at the Zoo or simply driving through - You have to experience this place. The environment is fantastic, the music they play is great and they have a wide variety of terrific movies to choose from. We were there days before Holloween and they were showing several different classic scary movies including "Hitchcocktober" with all of Alfreds bests. It's truly a great place and a must do in Columbus if you're looking for a good experience.

Gateway is one of the best movie theaters I've been to, hidden between some sticky bars that make it seem like an ordinary college-area locale. Cheap tickets, delicious beer, lots of deals for loyal customers, and one of the best places for movie (and television) variety anywhere. You can find huge lines for all the midnight openings, but you'll also find independent movies, international cinema, class westerns and horror movies, 24 hour Groundhog Day marathons, as well as live showings of Mad Men and Sharknado. Check out the trivia nights on Tuesdays and Fridays for a chance of free tickets.

We bought tickets here, and there were only 5 seats left in the theater. Everyone we asked if they could move said the seats were saved. When we told the usher, he told us the theater would allow us to see another film that was playing later. It was 10pm! I will never go back to this theater again.

I love Gateway. They have more than just mainstream movies--there is "TV on the Bigscreen" for free, there are film festivals and other activities there as well. Prices are reasonable and there are many discounts (student IDs or Groupon). Auditoriums are all stadium-style seating. Spacious and comfortable. Love it!
