I hate writing reviews. It's basically saying that a business can't improve and will always be as good or bad as the day the review was posted. But today, I have to write this review because it has to be one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any restaurant (or any other business for that matter). Yesterday I was sitting at the pool, not at Mountaineer Grille. But that didn't stop Mountaineer Grille from slandering our 3 year old daughter and insulting our family. Yep, that's right! Mountaineer Grille went out of their way to insult us yesterday, several times. A couple weeks ago, we went to Mountaineer Grille to eat with our friends and their 3 girls and baby boy. Half way through our meal our daughter got excited over something while playing with her friends. She let out a squeal of excitement that lasted maybe 4-5 seconds, if that. Every parent knows what I'm talking about. Simply, she was being a kid. We shushed her and she behaved perfectly the rest of the meal. Everyone around us chuckled for half a second. One woman said "She's fine. She's happy." This whole ordeal lasted at the most 8-10 seconds. So yesterday, our friends returned to the restaurant to eat (this time without our family) and they were extremely rude to them saying "Hell no" to the idea of seating them for lunch. They offered our friends no apology for their rude behavior and when Mountaineer Grille further explained they told them that when they went to lunch with us our kids were out of control and that we were causing other customers to leave. This was a 100% lie. We interacted and were aware of the people around us and NO ONE was mad and NO ONE left because of our children. Our kids were being kids and nothing more and behaved exactly as you would expect kids to behave at a restaurant. Other customers left only because they were done with their food. This was all a lie made up in an attempt to justify their rude, disgusting behavior towards our friends and their kids (who by the way were also very well behaved). So long story short, yesterday we were viciously insulted by Mountaineer Grille for no reason. So much my wife was in tears last night because she could not believe that a business could think such awful things about our innocent, completely normal and well behaved children. We did nothing to deserve this. We wanted to go to the restaurant-eat, pay, and go home. In my opinion, this is the WORST restaurant in the area and they do not like kids around. In addition, their management is EXTREMELY unprofessional and offensive towards customers they don't want to see coming through their door. Just a warning, If you have kids, don't go here. On second thought, doesn't matter if you have kids-Don't support a business that does not support family - the backbone of our society.

Mediocre...Asked for my burger to be medium, got one that was dried out and over cooked. This place is OK at best.

Well we pulled in 10 mins before they closed and just after I got out of the car they came outside and said we are closed which we had 5 mins before closing time. I completely understand wanting to get out when closing, but to turn away business even after they say they are out of town is bad service! So we came to the Wonderbar just down the road in Clarksburg. AMAZING DISHES !! We had the stuff shrimp that was to dye for, 6oz filet mignon that was mouth watering, and a bikini martini to top it off. YOU MUST VISIT THIS PLACE, CHECK OUT THE REVIEWS!

A small out of the way and semi hidden place that you have to visit. Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly service. Impressively good seafood.

Got the black and bleau burger with the fries. Took awhile to get the food, but when it finally came out everyone at the table was very disappointed in the amount of fries that we received. On top of this the bleau cheese was overly molded and tasted quite sour. When we received our bill I paid in cash on a $28.03 and they didn't give me any loose change. I understand not messing around in change, but when it is 3 cents at least give me a dollar instead of nothing.
