I was honored to be commissioned by Surrey Cricket to paint the100th Test Match played at The Oval Cricket Ground, a game between England and South Africa in July 2017. Here is my commemorative painting. Prints are available from my website http://jamietweddell.com/gallery_531997.html#photos_id=15925749 and will also be available as limited edition signed prints from the Oval themselves, details to follow!

CADER IDRIS. An oil painting on board of the spectacular tarn Llyn Cau ringed by the jagged ridge of Cader Idris in Snowdonia, Wales. I've climbed this mountain a number of times, making the long horse shoe walk along the Minffordd Path which snakes vertiginously up the ridge of Craig Cau to the peak Penygadair (which wonderfully translates as top of the chair or stronghold) and then back down around the broad shoulders of Mynydd Moel.

The shade itself seemed to shimmer and glow under the relentless bleaching sun, dusty, airless and still in Corfu Old Town. Time itself seemed to slow down painting in these back streets.

A painting depicting one of the many nefarious, towering, claustrophobic alley ways which criss cross the San Lorenzo district of Naples like knife wounds. The very earth beneath your feet is riddled with archaeological ruins in this district, the heart of the oldest continually inhabited city in Europe

A painting of the ancient Ospedale degli Incurabili, Naples, 'The Hospital of the Incurables'. The hospital was founded in 1521 by Maria Lorenza Longo after she became paralized by a malady. The building still contains the laboratory and salon of the remarkable 18th century pharmacy
