A hero/mentor of mine, and a very smart person, Ramit Sethi, is giving away two roundtrip tickets to anywhere in the USA of A. He's a best-selling author and runs a killer, hugely-popular, outrageously-named blog, "I Will Teach You To Be Rich". (Also the name of his best-selling book, BTW. I highly recommend grabbing it from the library and reading it.)
Yes, he's using this to promote his brand and business, but what's wrong with that? Nothin'. When you signup to enter, he'll probably send you some emails with info about personal finance, freelancing, or myth-busting ways of approaching life, investing, retirement, and other such trivialities :-P You can unsubscribe any time and still be eligible for the drawing. Or who know, maybe you'll learn something, too!
The cool thing is, if you win, I also get two round-trip tickets. Maybe we all go somewheres together, eh?

There's no selling here, just a good ol' fashioned hangout +1 this or comment if you're interested.
I'm fidgeting right now because the important work I need to get done seems too difficult. Specifically, my next task is to figure out what my next task is.
This is a common sticking point, which is why I'm sharing my experience with it now - even though writing this is part of that fidgeting.
Here's what usually works for me, which is what I'll do now to get out of the rut - take a look, cuz it may work for you, too...
1) Get back to my purpose - take 5 minutes, max, and reaffirm what overall purpose I have and what my goals and projects are that will bring about that purpose.
2) Identify what two goals or projects will have the most impact (the ratio of results to effort).
3) What is the next step for each those?
a) Not sure? Ask, "What would need to change about this situation for me to feel completely fulfilled?"
b) Got it? Add that task to my 2- to 3- item to-do list for the day.
4) Start at the top of the to-do list and work my way down.
What do you do to get unstuck?
Today is my birthday!
I'm 30 and, while I don't feel old (because I'm not) or any of that kind of garbage, 30 is a landmark year for a lot of people in our culture.
Really, 30 is meaningless. No more significant than 29 or 31, but we have this love affair with round and even numbers that it takes on meaning if we let it.
Which I don't.
Now is as good a time for a fresh start as any other. For me, certainly, but for you too, if you're looking for one.
Not because I'm 30, but because TODAY is as good a time as any other for a fresh start.

You can't say no, it's my birthday! :-)
I explore minimalism, taking risks and taking action, and personal growth at simplechallenges.com.
I'm highly optimistic, suitably naive, and excessively pragmatic. I seek simplicity and peace in living, having a handful of really good friends, and finding opportunities for growth in the challenges of life.
