It is a well known fact in health coaching circles that if a food is in your possession or located in your residence...you will eventually eat it. Make home a safe place where temptations don't exist. This weekend, go through your frig, cupboards and drawers. That's right...it's clean up time!

Nutrition information builds slowly through years of research. Single studies must be replicated before their findings can be considered valid. Since the media is hungry for new findings, study results are often distributed before the findings are fully confirmed. Be careful about where you get your nutrition news and read with a critical eye. Some newspapers, magazines, websites and talk shows strive for accuracy and balance in reporting, but many go for the splash, the sensationalism.

The body needs more water every day than any other nutrient. In less than 24 hours, a lack of water alter's the body's chemistry and metabolism. Diffuse the flavors of herbs, fruits and vegetables in your water and make a signature beverage. Take time to replenish!

Studies have shown a daily 20-minute walk to have multiple happiness and health boosting benefits, including feeling more alert and less stressed. Here's a great way to get a boost at work: Host a Walking Meeting—walk and talk over projects with your colleagues for the first 20 minutes then hit the conference room to write down ideas and finish up.

A number is not your worth....But what gets measured gets done. It is important to have some way of measuring what is working, what is not working. Whether it is a scale, a pair of tight pants, or a string around your waist, measure progress.
