You've got to love the people who think they hold terrific values just because they're not personally awful.  In reality, they just believe what they want to believe.

There are so many things wrong with the way people defend things like Islam in the face of Paris & San Bernardino, or the GOP in the face of the Donald's existence, but when it comes to the "horrible" aspects of the culture and social circles to which you belong... it's always about defending yourself.

And that's ridiculous.

This was a long time coming, but I collected a number of recent events (e.g. Paris attacks, Planned Parenthood, etc) and brief allusions to a few others and highlighted the flaw in the universal defense thereof.

What does it actually mean to "prove" something?  Is it a question of "absolutely beyond disproof", or a question of "realistically beyond disproof"?
