New video we just posted. When we talk to our most successful customers they tell us that the concepts in this video have been the biggest factor in the success they have had with their software documentation:

Ever feel like software documentation tells you everything EXCEPT what you actually need to know. If you have, then this video will make you laugh.

Our app, Clarify, has finally been released for Mac and Windows. And it has been featured under the New and Noteworthy section of the Mac App Store.

Clarify lets turn screenshots into communications that you can share via email, Dropbox or as an email.

Hey all, I know a lot of you are in situations where you have to reach out to other people for tech support on your website (although these tips apply to most areas of business). From 13 years of experience, and hundreds of frustrating phone calls, emails, and fires to put out, I offer you 7 ways to ask for help that will ensure you get the quality and timely support you're looking for (and deserve).

When I look back at the clients with whom I love working, these 7 things ring true nearly every time. If I missed anything please let me know, or better yet, leave it in the comments on the article.

We have been focusing a lot on creating success road maps for our customers lately. Our goal is to take reader step by step through the process of improving their business and being successful by improving the way they capture, store and use company knowledge.

I think this is a really good example of what a road map should look like:

http://docs.bluemangolearning.com

It does the following:

1. Let's them know what they should hope to accomplish.
2. Tells them what goals to set.
3. Gives them specific instructions on how to reach those goals.

My wife took my son in to have his hair cut today. He has cerebral palsy and autism and hair cuts can be a challenge. She tells the stylist that clippers scare him so to please use scissors. What does she do? Turns on the clippers. My son gets scared and starts holding his ears and slouching down in his seat because he is terrified of the clippers. My wife has already told the stylist of his special needs but she sneers, "Is he going to do this the whole time?" Usually when people see that my son has challenges they are very kind, patient and understanding. That wasn't the case here. My wife took my son and left without finishing the cut.
