Awesome clip of San Diego band Family Wagon performing their song "Hard Times" in a trolley. Posted in 2012 by the YouTube channel TrolleyShow, which is apparently a thing. I dig. #indie #rock #music

To introduce myself, I maintain a music blog at MonitorDown.com where I create impassioned, witty and sometimes obnoxious commentary on music, songs, bands and the like. I'm posting rather infrequently these days due to the ceaseless invasion of the "real world" and its time-consuming responsibilities, but if you ever need a laugh or just to hear some good music, that's the place.

I'll be loitering about occasionally promoting the bands I like and heavily criticizing those I don't. Just kidding about that last part. (We hope...)

Currently on a #SmashingPumpkins bender. Quick, favorite Pumpkins song?

A newer band from San Diego - Transfer, with "My Suspicions." They're on the verge of getting famous, and they totally deserve it. #indie #rock #music

Sweet band, sweet song. Try not to be convinced Lennon is back. #indie #rock #tameimpala #music

"My Thin Sides" by LA/Portland band Army Navy - cool, fun party song. Little-known fact: the crazy, ballistic solo to this song was recorded by lead guitarist Louie, black-out wasted on a guitar that was on the verge of falling apart. #indie #rock #music

A mellow Silver Lake band worth hearing for their songwriting and nice arrangements. Flutter by Lonely Trees
