Impressed again the second time around, Excellent food, great service. They even cater to gluten sensitivities without a sacrificing taste. One on my new favorites, especially enjoy the light tasting menus .

Supposedly this restaurant was a Diner's Choice selection.. It was a big disappointment. 1. prices are double what they should be. 2. food portions are about 1/3 of the regular size (to project perceived quality and fanciness, I suppose); this is america, people. 3. for an italian restaurant, it has 5-7 italian entre items; even basic italian dishes are missing from the menu. 4. the food tasted a 5 on 1-10, not impressed. 5. the cup of coffee we got had someone else's lips on it. if you do decide to visit this restaurant anyway, do inspect your dishes, cups, and silverware. I am sorry i didn't take a photo to share. Overall, it was a disappointment, nothing special about it and far overpriced. Avoid this joint, there are many better choices, unless, of course, you don't mind the feeling of getting scammed when all is done.

Great! Very much like my experience in Florence. Fantastic wine special. House made pasta was great but a little over done. Over all with my wife and 16 month old, great!!

I ordered two entrees and a caprese appetizer for an impromptu dinner. We had it delivered using bite squad because we both were tearfully grieving the loss of a dear friend. Bite squad rocks and so does the food at this establishment! The scallops (Diver's scallops) were mouth watering and perfectly prepared even with the added delivery time the service required. The braised shortribs, delicious and the risotto base was perfection. Honestly, the authentic cuisine was a resounding 5-star. The portions are very small, not enough for the grieving seeking respite in gourmet Italian comfort food. Additionally, the delivery containers were paper hotdog trays - they were falling apart and soaked up way too much of the deliciousness before it was enjoyed. Better containers for delivery and a half-again larger portion and I would rate Luci Ancora a solid 5-star. Bon appetite!

We had a Groupon for this restaurant and were very excited to try someplace new in a cute neighborhood. Bad choice. Made a 7pm reservation and were seated at 7:30 with one feeble apology by the waitress. Food was extremely slow. Bread was stale. Polenta was the best. Mussels were OK. Saffron pasta didn't have any saffron??? Service was beyond horrible. She tried to swap out something since we didn't like the saffron dish but the sausage penne was average. She offered to box up the saffron dish as it was going to be thrown away. We said sure but she never brought it out. It took 15 minutes to get the check. The hostess was horrible. No one acknowledged that we left. Had it not been for the Groupon, I would have felt ripped off. Never will I go back.

My husband and I have eaten here twice for a romantic meal as well as for a group event - always beyond amazing. The atmosphere is romantic but also was able to accommodate a party. The food is traditional Italian that you can't find anywhere else in the Twin Cities. Service is is also always well above average! Attentive and with recommendations on wine and dishes that met our tastes. A rare find.
