"A side of seaweed salad and a shake of furikake made this little box unbeatable."

Wow, awesome grinds. We may be from the main land, but I still know good food. You like sushi? You'll like this place, don't like sushi? You'll still like this place, pork was amazing and so was the poke. Fair warning, it's more food than you think.

The poke is amazing! But you can be served up an unwanted side of attitude. Of the 5 times I visited DA POKE SHACK during my 2 week stay I had fair service 1x and crappy service 4xs I give the food 5 stars and the service 1 star because there is no zero.

Staying at Kona Bali Kai couldn't have been better thanks to Da Poke Shack. After our first visit, we were hooked! No matter what the time of day, we were up for a poke bowl and a beer - it was vacation after all. I think we sampled every poke offering. Our favorite was the Wet Hawiian. The spicy tako (octopus) was fantastic as well. A side of seaweed salad and a shake of furikake made this little box unbeatable. And a nice big bottle of Corona Familiar (only $4!) made this a breakfast of champions.

Tried poke in Kona at one of the high-end resorts and hated it - Went to Da Poke Shack and was blown away by how good it was. Unbelievable quality and freshness. My only regret was that I wasn't hungrier and that I only went on the last day of my holiday. If I make it back to Kona - I will be eating lunch everyday here.

My husband and I both had the spicy garlic shrimp. He had brown rice with potato salad and I had the teriyaki calamari and edamame on quinoa. All was excellent! Our first Hawaiian meal!

The young lady at the counter was rude, they were out of several pokes. Very dissapointing as the shack in captain hook told us to visit this shop...we actually drove 20min out of town to go back to the shack located in captain hook the next day.

Delicious poke, better than any other poke we had elsewhere on the island. $20 for a pound of poke and two sides, enough to stuff two people to the gills. What a bargain. Friendly staff, and fast. Go here. Try the wet poke.
