I'm not sure where to begin.I went to a New Day with my company, we had a client in from out of town and were treating him to a spa day. I was so embarrassed. Everything was laughable. I was given a "couples massage" with one of my coworkers because they didn't have room for us to have private massages even though our reservation was for seven people, then they seemed upset with us that they had given us strawberries and juice but we weren't a real couple.. Nothing about the room we were put in was relaxing, the room was bright and the music was more upbeat and religious than the usual soothing music played in spas. The robes we were given were the cheapie microfiber ones you can buy at Walmart, not the thick terry cloth ones other spas use and the slippers were so old the velcro would stay on. My robe didn't cover my bottom and I'm a fairly short woman, still the lady paraded me through the spa, past my boss, when I said I had to use the restroom. Later another lady said, I don't know why you are wearing that one, we have plenty of robes.. The pedicures were very poorly done. There were bottles of bleach and cleaners piled in the corner for cleaning out the foot spas after use. They have few color choices and didn't have the little toe separators to keep from smearing your polish. A top coat wasn't used so by the next day my polish was chipping off. The facial was a joke, two cleansers, a scrub, which was never fully wiped off, oxygen, then lotion. I walked out of there with product all over my face. My 23 year old coworker was told that she really should do something about the hair on her chin and they could give her discount on the laser package. I am so embarrassed that out of all the beautiful, luxurious spas in Utah we took our client to A New Day. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Love Sherry. She did a wonderful job on laser hair removal for two of my daughters. I have also had massages there. Sherry is so personable and helpful. I will only go to her!!!

My husband and I got a couple's massage groupon for Christmas. We tried at least 5 times every week to call and schedule the massage for our anniversary in Feb. No one ever answered and the VM was always full. One day my husband did get someone on the phone who was VERY rude to him. He mentioned the groupon and she said, "Well it better not be expired." He said it was not, as it doesn't expire until the end of Feb. He asked what their hours were since we couldn't find it anywhere on the website. She did not want to tell him and just asked when he wanted to schedule the massage. He asked what was available on Sunday, she said "we don't work Sunday" (2/15). He asked what was available Monday (2/16) and she said she "only had one therapist and we would need two for the couples massage." He went on to ask about Tuesday and she said "Well why don't you call back when you know a better time." He explained how hard it is to get a hold of them and she said "well there's nothing I can do about that." She then hung up on him. This has left a very sour taste in our mouths as we would have been first time customers but now we don't even want to go. We tried very hard to schedule in advance as we know these things book up around expiration time and Valentine's Day but it's not our fault no one answers the phone and you can't leave messages. They made us feel like it's our fault. If the spa can't accommodate the high flow a groupon gives then maybe they shouldn't have done it. Now I'm stuck with the $79 dollar value that never expires yet I don't want to step foot in there. Very disappointed!

Such a wonderful place! I have received massages from various therapists, each has their own specialties, and have enjoyed them all!! Highly recommend therapists Aaron and Bunny! Other great highlights -- couples massage package & cold-weather massages (as they turn on the fireplaces!)

in the last week
I have not gone in for my massage yet, because I have been calling nonstop the past week to try to make an appointment. I thought maybe they had gone out of business? And you can't leave a VM. Finally a nice lady answered today and I was able to make an appointment for a couples massage (from Groupon). After reading all the scary reviews, I am not expecting much, so I mostly want to just get our money's worth and get out of there. It doesn't sound very comfortable or nice, but hopefully the massage itself will me alright.

Bought a couples Massage for a cop friend who constantly having lower back problems is for Valentines. The manager was very unprofessional and rude over the phone with me when I was trying to book the apt. and asked that I call back the next week. (I didn't end up calling because i didn't want to talk to her). We finally get it booked for 2 weeks later (which was also annoying). Upon arrival the manager was acting spastic on the phone and asked the customer on the line to call back because they were Hectic....We were the only 2 in the lobby, so this made me think back to when I called and was told the same thing... Super Unprofessional. we had an appointment and were waiting for almost an hour to get into the room because they were under staffed. *SKIP TO MASSAGE*. To top off the 2 working on my friend and I were terrible. Their techniques were a joke (like the karate chopping thing people joke about when talking about massages). My notes on "problem areas that need extra attention" were completely ignored as were my friends. Its like they focused on specific spots that seemed to have knots on my shoulders, then lower back, COMPLETELY NEGLECTED the middle section on my back, and put pressure on those "knots" for a few minutes and then skipped to the next "Knot" (some i'm sure were not and might have been Muscles and Tendons that should have been left alone). Long story short..... I left in 3x as much pain as I walked in with + a bad attitude. Completely ruined my week & it was only a Wednesday...

Extra service - great price - wonderful people. I would highly recommend their services. They have been excellent with my laser treatments. Thank you New Day Spa, my appearance looks 10 years younger and I feel great.

My boyfriend bought the groupon for a couples massage. He had to call 3 times to schedule the appointment (he never left a message as the recording said not to leave a message). While he was scheduling the appointment, the receptionist kept talking to whoever was with her. He heard personal problems about one of the therapists. Then the receptionist said "he wants an appointment today. Youd on't want to work today, do you?" Umm... I thought you went to work to WORK. When we got there, it took them a few minutes to get us back to the room, but we weren't too bummed out about it. The waiting room was nice enough. The therapist were AMAZING and it felt great, however, my sheets felt oily, like they weren't fresh. After the massage, the receptionist audibly gasped at what we tipped. And one of the therapists said "we have to split this?". Maybe our tip was low, but we felt it was appropriate. And even if it wasn't, was there any reason to be rude about it in front of us?
