I went to Flemming's without much knowledge, just checking the menu on the web site. so, I had a bit of sticker shock when I realized steak prices were $45 and up. the restaurant is a nice wooden panneled chop house style. The quality of the food was very good, but in retrospect, the price still seems a bit high. Salads, and sides (like potato) run about $10. The service was very good. everything I saw looked perfectly cooked to order. The meal was heavy on the salt. I like salt on my food, but two days later, I'm still thinking of all the salt. This is s very nice place for an impressive date or event, but I can think of a dozen Raleigh restaurants I would prefer. rating: very good

This place is sub-par. For what they charge, you'd expect the food to be much better. Their management did not make an effort to apologize when my steak that was ordered was WAY overcooked. A fine steakhouse should not have this issue...this is something you'd expect if you order a steak at applebees. No thanks, I'll go to Sullivans or Jimmy V's.

I like Flemings (even though this is a chain). Can't beat their steaks. Best deal? Sunday prime rib at $29. Includes app, 12 ounce prime rib and dessert. But, they rip you off on wine prices. Typically, we're talking about a 300% mark-up over retail. So, if you want to drink wine at Fleming's, take a bottle with you and pay the $20 corkage fee. Take a bottle costing you at least $20, pay the $20 corkage fee, and you'll still save $20 on their price. Take a more expensive bottle, and you'll save even more. Expect to pay at least $60-$90 person, gratuity included.

Go during the happy hours. You can eat like a king for 6 dollars a dish (before 7pm every day).

I had my wedding reception here and loved it!!! Jennifer, the Private Dining Director is great!! I had a small wedding so their cocktail reception perfectly went with what I envisioned. All of my decorations were set up beautifully and the food was awsome. It was a very romantic setting. I also wanted to mentioned the servers they had to attend to my guests were equally as great! I would definitely suggest this venue for someone looking to throw a intimate and romantic event!!!

I knew this was a chain going in and hoped that at least it would be better than than the half dozen experiences w other business dinners I and colleagues had at Ruth Chris w/in last 1-2 years. It was pretty comparable, but disappointing none the less. Food is pretty average considering the pricing, steak not cooked to temperature requested. Manager took it away and offered to cook another, but no point when others were finding their steaks topped with an odd margarine flavor. Manager seemed as if this were pretty routine and not too concerned. Our server was great but spread thin trying to correct our orders and cover the other tables during busy period. Server was definitely the best part of our experience. So giving up on meetings here or Ruth Chris - both pretty mediocre and a big expense for my company. Will continue to find a venue that can provide an honestly good steak, properly prepared, with a genuine sense of hospitality.
