Hey everyone- I'm conducting some research on how different companies organize their social media departments. Could you help me out by taking a quick 5 minute survey? Thanks https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5LTZDX2

Bless you for making this. When it aired, I didn't think much of it, but after the controversy started, that's when I realized just how perfect it is. I'm engaged to marry a first-generation Persian Armenian American. His parents and sister immigrated here during the Iranian revolution. He's the first person in his family born in the US, and among the first of his extended family to marry a "white person". He speaks Armenian with his family. His parents speak Farsi, Armenian and English. His mom is a special ed teacher, his father a plant manager at a local concrete family and a licensed plummer and electrician. They left everything when they made the choice to move to America to better their family, and they worked incredibly hard to provide the best life family for them here in the states.

If any of you ignorant people try to say that they are any less American than you are because they speak another language at home, or because they don't "look" American, than it is YOU who isn't being American. Not them. Your ancestors came from over seas, and if you are like the majority of Americans, they spoke a language other than English when they came here. Perhaps German, or Polish, but it wasn't English. And you have forgotten that.

Also interesting too because this ad is getting a lot of flack from close-minded people, but the very song ("America the Beautiful") was composed by Katherine Lee Bates, who was in a 25-year relationship with Katharine Coman. Very appropriate.

Hey guys- I had a reporting question for you. When you report on reach, impressions, etc- do you look to Facebook's 28 day number or add the daily amount? Do you find the total, but not unique, value the aggregate of the daily to be a better rating, or trust the unique value of the 28 day roll up better?

Thanks

I have a client who had read that claiming Google places in bulk will have a negative impact on Google Adwords. I'm not finding anything that confirms this or explains why. Any thoughts?

Interesting, never heard this before - Google always recommend bulk for large/high quantity listings

I just had a wonderful discussion with a woman in Sweden who is writing her masters thesis on how companies deal with crisis on social media. She is looking for other professionals to interview. Would anyone be interested in helping her out?

How about these people? Not sure that they know what they're doing, but they're certainly a good case study option. http://www.buzzfeed.com/ryanhatesthis/this-is-the-most-epic-brand-meltdown-on-facebook-ever

Has anyone been certified by this program or similar? I've been in the field so long, but I don't have any certification. Looking at the webinar schedule, I think that I probably have a decent grasp on all the subjects, but could learn more. Is this worthwhile, or a waste of time and money?

I agree with all regarding the knowledge aspect, but it's the "certification" you're looking for from a professional development/credential perspective.

Best to find (or create) a SM certificate program at a local college like this one at Delaware Valley College: http://www.delval.edu/about-delval/news/delaware-valley-college-offers-new-social-media-certificate#.UVLnKjdWBME

While a seasoned social media veteran will likely be qualified to teach the program, some target clients value credentials, so the cert program might be worthwhile.

Thanks for this, I looked into the Green Leaf system and they told me I needed to change the tubing first. I found this video when looking for new tubing. One question... and I probably just have this wrong. I thought you were supposed to put the reactor on the outflow tube because the gas can degrade the plastic of the filter. Am I just remembering incorrectly?

You can put it on the intake or outtake. No need to change the tubing. They just say that because they haven't thought about this simple alternative. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for hosting Ken! The organization was great and we had a ton of fun. Aren and I would like to offer up our house to host a fall tasting, if you'd like to do this again.
Setting up.... This past weekend, I had the pleasure of co-hosting a beer tasting party. For almost a year now, our friend Daniell (my latest guest contributor by the way....) and I have been talking about having a beer tasti...

My frustration today... I have no idea how "Fan Context Story" and "Like Story" differ or what the heck "Medley" is.

Agreed - usually I just go with the flow of Facebook changes, but when it is just changing names and where to find things it just feels confusing.

Does anyone have a program recommendation that can manage content on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google+ and Yelp? I'm currently using Spredfast, but they charge a lot of money and don't have Pinterest, Google+ or Yelp integration.

I've been working to pare down all the KPIs out there to the ones that offer the most value to clients. Which are the ones you keep seeing yourself going back to for social media marketing?

I read something I generally follow nowadays. It's broken down into the categories:acquisition (sources), behavior (engagement, interaction) and outcomes (conversions, funnels). Good way to look at things.
