I lived in Rwanda for 3 years. I tried to understand the differences between the Tutsi & the Hutu. There is none. Its like one family having slender and tall kids and the other not so tall. I was told the differences were aggravated by King Leopold's agents who in a way to rule the people in the colonies used divide and rule method. Using one clan to feel superior and turning around and make the other clan the Hutus hate the other. Same lanuage, culture and everything.
When it comes to who short the presidential jet, I happened to follow the investigations and analysis concering this subject. Am not here to difend any body but to shade some light on the matter. The rocket fire which brought down the jet came from the Kanombe Barracks the then occupied by the government forces. The RPA were in a dife2 location. There were signs that the then president was willing to negotiate but there were fuctions in his Hutu party who would do anything to cleanse the Tutsi.
My concern with the international community is that they sat back, played it safe and watched innocent lives being taken.
There are no words enough the international community can say to carry away the blame. The people in power who did nothing will die with guilt.
People are struggling, children I know who grew up with out parents, old people I know who watched their children butchered.
