Thanks for sharing your experience working with us:
" I wanted to take a brief moment to share a recent experience involving Horizon Underground. This past Saturday we had Greg Miller and crew on site to bore (4) 4" communications conduits. Typically this wouldn't have been a huge deal except the client was USC and just weeks prior had shared with us a horror story of their last boring job where an 8" water main (right in the same area we were boring) was hit and tens of thousands of dollars' worth of damage was done to a new library. We assured USC this would not happen but honestly really couldn't guarantee anything. Horizon showed up on time with every piece of equipment needed, all safety barricades and scaffolding and an extremely competent crew. By the end of the day the bore was complete and went off without a hitch. The site was clean and safe when they left for the day and most importantly, our general contractor and USC couldn't have been more pleased with the result. Greg Miller and Horizon Underground really made CSI look good and far exceeded any expectations we had.

Far too often we only receive news when things go wrong. We usually never hear anything when things are just average. But when a person or company goes way above and beyond, something should be said. Just wanted to send this in hopes it moves as far up the chain at Horizon as possible.

I have no doubt there will be quite a bit more work for Horizon Underground on this project.

Thank you for doing such a great job!!!

Directional drilling is the practice of drilling wells at multiple angles in order to reach and produce more oil and gas receives. This practice came about in the 1920s and in addition to being more profitable than traditional vertical drilling is also better for the environment. The technologies used for directional drilling are ever changing to improve the process The most recent change comes with a device called the Helios Inferno PDC cutter. This cutter uses deep leech technology which results in faster drilling and greater durability through sandstone and limestone ll while maintaining the well path. Also recently released was the Cutter Index  which ranks cutter technology according to its resistance to thermal degradation, abrasion, and impact damage. In the directional drilling world it is of the utmost importance to stay on top of these ever changing technologies in order to remain competitive in the underground drilling field. At Horizon we are committed to doing just that to remain at the top of our industry not only in practice but in knowledge as well.
