Hello everyone! As announced, on Friday 6th of June  we had the opening of the exhibition "4 stories" in our CeKaTe gallery, Gallery Modulor.. Exhibition 4 stories came out of a larger project 2WARds Europe that seeks to include local experience of war, war memories and life stories, as you all already know. In conceptualizing this exhibition, we were guided by the importance of scientific and technical contributions in the interpretation of war testimony that does not produce a sense of pity, but compassion, and we wanted to completely bypass, otherwise often present, dramatic, tragic and explicit presentation of other people's experiences of war. On the contrary, we have chosen a subtle and indirect clips from four very different life stories; Mary Novosel, B. GRDIĆ, Anthony Maracic and Kristine Uzelac. We are aware that life experiences very much richer than the language in which they are almost exclusively reduced in an attempt to represent others. Still, include image, audio and text fragments of their stories because we believe that circumvent the stereotypical narrative of the war, creating a heterogeneous field of personal memories, documentary facts and retrograde interpretation. It is necessary to stress the uniqueness and honesty exposed to stories that are listed interviewees decided unreservedly share with the audience.
Here you can find a touch of the exhibition.

Hello all!

As we are finishing our workshop, we would like to show you finished parts of it. As for now, we have 7 “video stations”, one “text station” and guide to the workshop. We’re uploading Powerpoint files, but the final version will be saved in PDF. That is why, right now not everything will look perfect on your computers (probably you don’t have the same fonts which are used in the files we've uploaded, but you can download them from the folder  in which our workshop is (ttf files)). Of course we might make some slight changes in the content of some stations.

In the next days we’re going to prepare another video station that will be based on German movie (we’re still waiting for it) and station with Czech pictures.

We’re waiting for your feedback. :)

Best regards
Krzysztof and Matthias

After starting the project, and principled agreement between the partners, the first mobility to other participants of this project is realized by visiting the Cultural Centre in Cesis, Latvia (Cesis Culture and Tourism Center) 21 and 22 2013th year. By expanding the project participants, discussed the basic ideas that we are trying to follow in future work. Our goal is to share experiences (memory and history) within the European context in order to better understand each other and can together build a more tolerant Europe that will be geared towards spreading the message of peace.
