While I agree with much of the sentiment and points in this article I wonder... you keep talking the woman aspect almost in a vacuum of all of the other issues involved. A question I would have in that regard would simply be.... is it not time to educate your female voters better? Are they not half of the electorate? I really think that the male-female aspect of this election was a smaller aspect compared to larger issues or maybe your female voters would have pushed harder. I am not fond of the results of this election in terms of the whole campaign and the nastiness therein but will hope that in the times to come that we see a softening of the stances as the reality of running a country takes over the campaign rhetoric. And while I would have preferred almost any one over the result I wonder if someone who was less nasty and outspoken had run the same platform would have won regardless of gender. And while the woman involved had lots of experience in the white house maybe that is one of the concerns....too many friend in high places.
Once again I think analyzing the result as a gender concern without looking at everything else is quite possibly a mistake.
