Cheesecake Factory is one of my favorite restaurants in Rochester. I have never had a bad meal there in the past several years. I always order Chicken Madera which never disappoints. My only issue is that I am gluten free. They make that dish perfectly (gluten free) which is why I always order the same thing. If and when I ask about making other dishes gluten free I get attitude. The server has to go to the kitchen and ask which is a pain for them. They go into "safe mode" with silly recommendations that make me feel like they can't deal with it. I know when a restaurant is unprepared and Cheesecake Factory does not want to bother. Anyone with Celiac disease must be careful or we face a disgusting and painful result. I understand that restaurants are nervous about GF but today almost every top restaurant will cater to us in some way. Cheesecake Factory definitely is bothered. I still love their Chicken Madera although. It keeps me coming back. The solution that other restaurants follow is to designate which entrees are gluten free or can be prepared as such with a GF designation. PF Chang's displays their GF selections in a separate section for easy view. Is that so hard? Don't get me wrong. Yes, I am frustrated at their attitude on GF, however I applaud Cheesecake Factory as a fine eatery with an incredible menu. I hope that someday I can try their other wonderful selections! I believe it is coming.

This place has gone downhill! The timing of courses is off every time. Your entree gets cold by the time you finish your appetizer because they bring them so close together. Meals are sloppy and of low quality. You have to hunt someone down if you need another beverage, including managers, it seems noone wants to look you in the eye or be bothered. Lastly, the way they seat the 2 tops SO close together is ridiculous. You can barely talk to the person you are with (across from you) because the person at the next table is closer to you than they are!

We arrived for dinner and it was relatively busy. We were seated quickly however and our waitress was very friendly. We had avocado eggrolls as an appetizer because it sounded different. It ended up being quite delicious. I had the Hibachi Steak which also came with shiitake mushrooms, onions, bean sprouts, wasabi mashed potatoes and tempura asparagus. I'm not a potato fan so I can't speak to how that was. The steak and other sides were very tasty. I'm a sucker for tempura vegetables and they did not let down. The steak and other vegetables were delicious as well. I'm a big cheesecake fan and decided to try the mango key lime cheesecake for dessert. I was sadly a little disappointed as it wasn't as good as I expected but it could have just been the flavor combination that didn't work for me. All in all our food was very good, we had good service, and the price wasn't too terrible.

I took my daughter and son-in-law out for his birthday. We arrived about 5:45pm on a Friday night. There was only one group of over 5 waiting for a table, so we were seated right away. Our waitress, Antonea, was wonderful - very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and helpful. We started off with Crispy Crab Wontons. The sauce was a little vinegary and when we commented Antonea went back and brought another helping that was better mixed - and better tasting. The wontons were very tasty with the new sauce. For entree my daughter had the Farfalle Pasta and Chicken, her husband had the Gumbo and I had the combo of Shrimp Scampi and Steak Diane. All three entrees were served hot, timely, and were delicious, with good amount for take home! We each had cheesecake - one white chocolate/raspberry, one Reese's, and one white chocolate with caramel & macadamias. Again, excellent and leftovers! My daughter had a Pina Colada with dinner, which she said was very good. With my cheesecake I had the best Caramel Royal Macchiato I have had in a long time! We never felt rushed, Antonea was wonderful, and, other than it being rather loud, we had a great time. The prices were reasonable - I had checked the menu on-line beforehand so there were no surprises. We will certainly return for the next special occasion.

My wife and I have eaten at this cheesecake factory numerous times and have typically enjoyed it although it was always quite loud. We recently returned there and now will never go back. My Sante Fe salad was nothing like it used to be. It was tasteless and missing the abundance of ingredients it used to have. Used to be a favorite of mine; now it is ruined. My wife's experience was even worse. She got the large burrito. It a. Yes the arrived 5 minutes after my salad and was barely warm. It was returned with the same result. Yes the plate was hot but the burrito as well as the side of beans was not even warm. On top of that it was mostly stuffed with simple plain white rice. They have got to be kidding selling this stuff as Mexican food. We got the manager, who offered to prepare it once more. We refused and simply said we had been there 45 minutes already and were not going to pay for it. We never do that. Ugh
