Good food at good prices. Everything on their menu is as you would expect TexMex classics. They also have a good selection of vegetarian and reduced calorie fare. The Gill's Margarita is my favorite, good tequila, Cointreau, and lime.

Great Service! I ordered the carne gisada soft tacos. The meat was tender and flavoful, but the tortilla was very rubbery.

The wait can suck at times--especially on a weekend evening. My last evening at this particular location, the wait was about 40 minutes. I always stick with the Josie's Enchiladas and I'm happy. I think Maudie's drinks can be overpriced outside of the normal happy hour time, so I usually don't partake in those. I've been coming to this location since my undergrad days (before they expanded and remodeled it) and have always been satisfied. I've never had terrible service here, but neither have I had extraordinary service. Overall, there's better in Austin, but this isn't the worse alternative, and i'll continue coming here on a semi-regular basis.

Parking can be hard here, seems to fill up pretty fast, there is street parking though near by. The place itself seems tight, so it feels crowded a lot. The food is okay, not the best Tex Mex in town IMO, but it is okay. I would say it's nice because it's near downtown and Zilker as well as Westlake, but I prefer the one on 360.

One of the quieter Maudie's locations. It's a nice place in the neighborhood to get some Tex Mex. It actually gets fairly bumping at HHR though. Otherwise, it's kind of sleepy.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants and they honestly have some of the best queso in town. It's usually pretty crowded if you go during regular dining hours but it's worth the wait. The Lamar location is usually not as packed. They also have the best Mexican Martinis!

Maudie's hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
