Tech-illiteracy is rapidly going from being cute and forgivable to being a major liability (check out the SOPA "debates" in the US Congress). If you work with coders, work in technology, or, heck, even use technology you should learn to code. You don't need to become a developer but an understanding of what is driving the tools you take for granted will help you as a citizen in our complex society.
Luckily "Code Year" is here to help. Make 2012 the year you learn to code.
"If we don't learn to program, we risk being programmed ourselves... program or be programmed" ~ +Douglas Rushkoff
