BIG TOWN Book Launch, October 5th, 5:30 pm

Join us at jane’s event space at 2053 Gottingen Street to celebrate the launch of this novel of Africville. Dramatic reading from Nate Crawford of the Writers’ Federation on Nova Scotia/Forerunner Playwrights Theatre, nibblies from jane’s kitchen, and Lisa MacDougall tickling the ivories. Might even be some Cherry Blossoms. Books will be available for sale & signing. All welcome.

Introduction

STEPHENS GERARD MALONE  currently lives and writes on Canada’s east coast city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. In 1994, he published his first novel Endless Bay (Mercury Press) under the pseudonym, Laura Fairburn. His second novel, Miss Elva (Random House, Canada) followed in 2005 and was short-listed for the Dartmouth Book Award. Malone’s third novel I Still Have A Suitcase In Berlin (Random House, Canada) took eight years to write and was released in May 2008 to critical praise.

Malone’s next novel is Big Town, coming from Nimbus Publishing on September 15th, 2011.
