What I love most about this isn't that they caught them (which is great and these dogs can now begin to heal) but they published the names AND pictures of these SOBs. May these busts continue so we come to a day very soon where dog fighting is no longer something done anywhere!
Washington County Sheriff Richard Stringer says deputies and officers from multiple agencies broke up what is believed to be a large dog fighting range overnight.

So the election is over, it's raining outside (how appropriate) and today in history in 1938, an event that would foreshadow the Holocaust began, German Nazis launch a campaign of terror against Jewish people and their homes and businesses in Germany and Austria. The violence, which continued through November 10 and was later dubbed “Kristallnacht,” or “Night of Broken Glass,” after the countless smashed windows of Jewish-owned establishments, left approximately 100 Jews dead, 7,500 Jewish businesses damaged and hundreds of synagogues, homes, schools and graveyards vandalized.
This morning I had to calm down my children and let one of them know it was OK to go to school today because she would be safe ~ all the while knowing what today has meant for us in history and not knowing at all what tomorrow will look like now.
On this day in History, Nazis launch Kristallnacht on Nov 09, 1938. Learn more about what happened today on History.

W-T-F... I mean seriously since when is exercising your Constitutional rights putting you in stance below a RAPIST because you know that is exactly what Turner is. He isn't standing for his or ANY Constitutional rights he is nothing more than a selfish, sociopathic, egomaniac who committed a felony and unfortunately the system failed so he isn't behind bars for life. he gets extra protection again why?????

For all of those who protect us and those who never made it home....Happy Holidays and thank you.

Merry Christmas My Friend
By James M. Schmidt, a Marine Lance Corporal
stationed in Washington, D.C., in 1986

Twas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone,
In a one bedroom house made of plaster & stone.

I had come down the chimney, with presents to give
and to see just who in this home did live

As I looked all about, a strange sight I did see,
no tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.
No stocking by the fire, just boots filled with sand.
On the wall hung pictures of a far distant land.

With medals and badges, awards of all kind,
a sobering thought soon came to my mind.
For this house was different, unlike any I'd seen.
This was the home of a U.S. Marine.

I'd heard stories about them, I had to see more,
so I walked down the hall and pushed open the door.
And there he lay sleeping, silent, alone,
Curled up on the floor in his one-bedroom home.

He seemed so gentle, his face so serene,
Not how I pictured a U.S. Marine.
Was this the hero, of whom I'd just read?
Curled up in his poncho, a floor for his bed?

His head was clean-shaven, his weathered face tan.
I soon understood, this was more than a man.
For I realized the families that I saw that night,
owed their lives to these men, who were willing to fight.

Soon around the Nation, the children would play,
And grown-ups would celebrate on a bright Christmas day.
They all enjoyed freedom, each month and all year,
because of Marines like this one lying here.

I couldn't help wonder how many lay alone,
on a cold Christmas Eve, in a land far from home.
Just the very thought brought a tear to my eye.
I dropped to my knees and I started to cry.

He must have awoken, for I heard a rough voice,
"Santa, don't cry, this life is my choice
I fight for freedom, I don't ask for more.
My life is my God, my country, my Corps."

With that he rolled over, drifted off into sleep,
I couldn't control it, I continued to weep.

I watched him for hours, so silent and still.
I noticed he shivered from the cold night's chill.
So I took off my jacket, the one made of red,
and covered this Marine from his toes to his head.
Then I put on his T-shirt of scarlet and gold,
with an eagle, globe and anchor emblazoned so bold.
And although it barely fit me, I began to swell with pride,
and for one shining moment, I was Marine Corps deep inside.

I didn't want to leave him so quiet in the night,
this guardian of honor so willing to fight.
But half asleep he rolled over, and in a voice clean and pure,
said "Carry on, Santa, it's Christmas Day, all secure."
One look at my watch and I knew he was right,
Merry Christmas my friend, Semper Fi and goodnight.

OMG I cannot WAIT to see what Normand says in this press conference in 20 minutes. There was NEVER any reason Gasser was not immediately charged.

... many are not even remotely pleased with the electoral college system nor the results of this election (and I can safely say that I'm in there with you). No one knows what this will mean and all we have to go on is the hateful spewings that this man did on the campaign trail which is truly terrifying... but least we forget that we have a Constitution that created a system of checks and balances and despite both sections of Congress also being Republican it is president elect Trump NOT king Trump and if you were even remotely upset by this election then it is your job to ensure we ALL hold him accountable during his presidential position.

I like those word. i do not think it is right to riot etc. people can come out in droves to peacefully protest killing, raping etc... but for this, give the man a chance. Nice to see you again btw

voting with a service dog is always interesting - then again doing almost anything with E becomes interesting. Thankfully everyone in our town knows him and was really accommodating to ensure we had a good experience. That was the only positive about this honestly and I hate saying that. No one in my house likes either main candidate and feel neither of them is the best we can do - and it really should be putting forth the best options that are out there. This election season has been fraught with voter intimidation and scaring the hell out of people instead of truly having worthwhile discussions. I am so glad that it is finally done and over with so we can truly focus on important issues at hand. People shouldn't have to vote for person X because person Y scares the hell out of them, they should be able to vote for the candidate they truly feel is right for our country. We don't have a Constitutional right to vote, and if we don't exercise our ability to vote we are slapping all those who came before us in the face. All those who fought for their ability to cast a ballot and went through hell to receive it. THAT'S why no matter how you feel about this election you need to go to the polls and cast your vote. For them and for the future ability to continue to vote. I've never felt ill casting my ballot for one candidate over another, but that was what it exactly was today. Participating because to not do so is much worse.
