If your marketing strategy doesn't have a serious social media component you should probably consider adding one. While most people in the U.S. still use traditional search engines such as Google to find what they're looking for online, users -- especially younger ones -- are increasingly discovering websites by way of social networks.

Social media is a great way to communicate with others but successfully using the new media is more than putting up a link or clinking a LIKE button its about two way communication with others and using you social media as a tool to tell people who you are and why they should like you and or your product... Use it right and you will be surprised on how useful it can be use it wrong and find out how harmful it can be.

There’s a lot of confusion out there regarding “free” and “paid” media. Let’s cut right to the chase and clear this matter up right now. First of all, truly “free” media is about as a rare as winning the Powerball. Free media would mean that somehow, somewhere, sometime, someone like Justin Beiber just happens to walk into your coffee shop. He stops to have an espresso and declares the experience so magnificent that he is going to come in every day for the next several years, and spend hours and hours signing autographs and occasionally preforming a dance number for your customers, just to stay fresh.

Your marketing and messaging is one such job. We see far too many business owners spend valuable time, and a lot of cash for placement and print costs, to deliver a weak message in a poorly thought out campaign

In my experience electronic communication such as e-mail and other forms of social media people will often times say things they would not normally say in person. But also there is a much better chance of those who read what has been written to misunderstand and misinterpret what the author was trying to convey in this hurts relationships and reputations.
