When height is required, we rise to the challenge. A recent project 100km North of Weipa, Queensland saw us project manage the installation of a 70 Metre Guyed Telecommunications Tower. This Tower acts as a repeater location to send 100Mbps via Fixed Wireless Technology from the closet town with a fibre connection. Because everything we do is regional or remote, the closest towns are often not that close at all.

Today, R U OK?Day, is a reminder to check in with the people in your world who might be going through a tough time, whenever it's needed. We believe that conversations can make a difference, change our world and show those struggling with life that they're not alone.

It was great to catch up with Kev & Jan Roberts from Sandalwood Feedlot at the NRL Elimination Final game between the Brisbane Broncos and St George Illawarra Dragons over the weekend. Sandalwood Feedlot are one of our regional customers receiving quality, reliable telecommunications to help manage their modern 17,000 head custom feedlot located 20km north east of Dalby, Queensland. Thanks for a great afternoon at the footy regardless of the result!

Yesterday we attended the Rural Press Club Queensland's September Lunch at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. This lunch welcomed back Federal Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources, the Hon. David Littleproud MP. There was terrific attendance with many of our customers and industry leaders such as Stanbroke, Australian Country Choice, Smithfield Cattle Company,
Cattle Council of Australia and the President of Australian Lot Feeders' Association – Tess Herbert, just to name a few. RPC provides an exceptional opportunity to rub shoulders with influencers in Queensland agriculture, leaving with fresh ideas and new connections.

Spending the day today attending Meat & Livestock Australia’s BeefUp Forum in Miles. It’s great to be learning about the latest in on-farm research and development, whilst connecting with local producers. Local producers also get a chance to have their say on R&D priorities and gain insights, tools and steps to beef up their business.

Delivering high-speed internet services across fixed wireless requires a line of sight between two antennas. To obtain line of sight across large distances we often install equipment on telecommunications towers like the 20-metre steel mast pictured below. The health and safety of our staff is critical and working at heights is a task we do not take lightly. This week one of our teams used an Elevated Work Platform (EWP) to perform on-site works in the quickest and safest way possible. This particular link delivers over 100Mbps across 50kms.

No mountain too high, no valley too low, no river too wide - wherever you require telecommunications we will find a way.
Recently we visited this transmission site in far north Queensland to scope out how we will connect a renewable energy client. This client struggles with poor 3G connectivity and has already spent tens of thousands of dollars with a range of companies unsuccessfully trying to connect them to reliable internet. We thrive on a challenge and combine our experience with innovation to overcome obstacles and deliver for our clients.
We design, build, deliver, maintain and support a quality telecommunications network from Cape York to Ballarat and from Dalby to the Pilbara. You can count on us, we'll be there when you need us.

We are proud of our local community and proud to support of one of the local City Touch football teams. City Touch is a not for profit touch football organisation providing a social, fun and fitness environment across 10 venues throughout Brisbane. The team is looking very sharp in their new March IT playing jerseys. Good luck for the season!

When it comes to who we work with, we only partner with the best. Optus Satellite own and operate the largest fleet of satellites across Australia and New Zealand. Some of our installation team completed training last week for deploying these units. No matter how regional or remote your operations are, we deliver quality, timely and affordable telecommunications services with 100% coverage of Australia and New Zealand.
