We have visited Nemacolin a few times with our most recent visit as part of a work retreat. The property offers a lot to do and is beautiful. However, the service and value is generally poor in every activity and offering. From dining, to pool amenities, to customer service, to basic room amenities, Nemacolin just doesn't provide a high standard. For example, we had to ask for towels in the pool area where they should be provided, garbage cans were over flowing in public areas, food orders were frequently wrong and of low quality, some staff were unhelpful and unwilling to try to resolve issues, and our room lacked basic amenities. If we were at a low-end property, we probably wouldn't have acknowledged these shortcomings. But for a property that charges a premium for EVERYTHING, you expect them to pay attention to details. We felt like Nemacolin just does enough to get by, but really fails to meet the standard of similarly priced properties.

Way overpriced. I paid $34 for pasta with scallops. The portion would not even fill up a child. The pasta was mediocre. The service was awkward and we waited too long for our food. Do not go to this restaraunt!

Great hideaway in the mountains. Accommodations are wonderful - lots of space and room to roam. Check out the zoo and exhibit of old automobiles. Restaurants and pools are terrific.

Perfect place for the family or just a weekend get away. There's plenty of things to do in every season.

Very nice weekend. The place is beautiful. Condo was extremely nice and clean. The Casino was small and limited. Entertainment was really good. If it were not so expensive, I would vacation there for a week. Very nice. Staff is great.

Wow, wonderful resort, casino, restaurants- but beware, last weekend we valet parked and took the shuttle to the casino, the next day we checked out and drove to falling water got out of the truck went to get our jackets and umbrella's out of the back of the truck - there it was a large, deep scratch from the valet!!!! We called Nemacolin the next day and was transferred to the head of security - no apology, no offer to fix or remedy the problem, and most of all no admission. (btw - all we wanted was an apology/admission) - why charge to get in the casino? the people you are trying to keep out already work there. Beware of valet parking - take photos of your vehicle. It's shameful that such a wonderful place has employee's that are such - are there camera's in the parking garage?

For the price they charge, one would think their service level is super, or their guestrooms are luxurious. Nah. I guess for the golfers, the pricey ancient guest rooms as well as the construction noises are irrelevant. But, for me, doubt I would recommend this place.
