Hi All  ~ Today I brushed the entire herd out, then let them into the small paddock, just for a change of pace.  Each immediately went straight for the dust bath, joke on me!  LOL  Here are a few shots of my Loves, Roux, Dewey, and Shelby Ann.

Excited to have the fall crops in the ground - and radishes first of the crowd to show themselves! These are heirloom Purple Plum. :)

My girls got "recess" at the farm today - about an hour long or more respite from "the job" of watching the chicken flock.

Do you know what they did?

After a rousing game of tag/tackle/chase, they sat themselves at the front door of the barn and watched for my safety. 🐾

Have I shared this photo here yet? :). Enroute to the farm, this is often my lot. LOL

I've two great Pyrs, yet puppies, being raised to guard my chickens. I see most here have them as companions. Because of our daily routine, I've been quite pleased at the dual attachment the dogs are developing. They are exceptionally enjoyable to me. Here are a couple photos, by way of introduction. Meet Marguerite and Paris.

Tonight we rode to a nearby area with lush grasses for an evening of grazing. Everyone spread out, Shelby being the only companion for the time being. Sun goes down in a few. 🐴

After several rainy, cold days, and a 12 hour drive on a holiday, sitting in the sun is a welcome source of vitamin D and "regroup" all in one. :)
