Recording a 25 song double CD to commemorate my 25th year of playing slack key guitar. Will only be available to fans who attend my live performances. All songs recorded analog- straight to 1/4" tape! Then transferring to digital for mastering. Will eventually be cutting vinyl... Aloha!

Headed home for a moment after 9 "fruitful" Ripe release concerts on Maui, O'ahu, Kaua'i & Hawai'i island. What an amazing start to the year of the Horse (I am a horse). Literally every single show sold out thanks to all of the loving support of my listeners. I have been on a marathon of performances; I'm pushing my body to transcend its limits. Performing solo in my fashion requires immense summoning of energy for each show. I'm thankful for all of the chiropractors, massage therapists, rolfers, yogis, friends, farmers and fans that have rallied to carry me through the intense demands of my touring schedule. Monday I leave for LA to enter the studio again, this time recording to tape (analog) at The Village Recorder, where the likes of Zeppelin, the Stones, Pink Floyd and many other legendary acts have recorded. Then home for a few days in late Feb to continue our run at The Kahala (Feb 23) and straight off to Australia and New Zealand to perform at Peter Gabriel's festival WOMAD. After that, 2 symphony concerts on Maui and on O'ahu (featuring a full choir as well- over 100 people onstage backing me) and then to Europe for summer festivals in Paris and other cities. This is my life. I love it and would not trade it for anything. Last year I flew over 100x for music. This year I'm on Cloud Nine the whole way. What this also means is that I have little to no personal life. It's a big sacrifice but I am dedicated to my dharma. Just know that your kindnesses and support go very far and I am thankful for being able to share my journey with all of you, as well as watch each of you in your own unfolding dreams. "Work is love made visible." - Khalil Gibran. Thanks Mr. Langen for giving me The Prophet as a graduation gift. I've made those words my life song. A hui hou, Makana 2.1.14
