The Delvinia and AskingCanadians teams jumped into the debate about employers asking job seekers for Facebook passwords. How would you respond if you were asked?
Would you give an employer access to your Facebook account?

Earlier this week, The Wall Street Journal (and countless other news outlets) published an Associated Press story about a New York City man who, during a job interview, was asked to provide his Facebook login credentials. The man refused and withdrew his application from the company.

The debate over whether or not a company has the right to request, or even demand, employees’ social networking usernames and passwords has sparked widespread debate over the course of the week. The story also struck a nerve with our staff.
