I've been a member for a bit over three years now which I put my two months notice. Two months notice is insane, jobs require two weeks and they pay me. Anyways, I petitioning to get the bin near the fire exit (in the free weight area) and all the sprays on the floor. The gym was better a year or two ago but since they've been giving it a "facelift" their policies and rules are starting to match Planet Fitness. If that's what you want then this is the gym for you. Furthermore, the gym is very crowded from 4pm-7:30pm on weekdays. The parking is phenomenal and the locker rooms are always clean. The staff has a high turnover but in general the floor guys are awesome and the front desk is decent. However, that's not enough to undo some of the b.s. policies that they have. tl;dr version: Pros: great parking, clean locker rooms, recent facelift, new machines. Cons: ownership, b.s. lifting policies (no chalk etc etc). crowded.

Nice gym, good staff. It's not the cheapest in the area, but it's easy to get to, parking is decent, and not a full of annoying gym rats. Everything, including bathrooms, is clean. I like that it's open to 11pm weekdays so if I want to get a quick work out late I can. The classes there are decent. I like the zumba and its instructors. They don't try to up sell special Zumba products (shoes, expensive toning sticks, belly dancer belts, ect), like other Zumba classes in the area. It's also nice that every machine has its own tv with a decent amount of tv channels and free wifi that works all the time (I love listening to Pandora when I work out)

Great gym, great staff, great atmosphere, great price! Is there much more to ask for? FFL becomes a place I look forward to going to. With a variety of classes (such as bootcamp and spinning etc.) as well as a variety of events for members to partake in, this gym really is worth it! Each member has the opportunity to have a personal trainer as well but I have been helped by many of the Fit Team members on the floor during my workout. They always offer advice and tips that improve your goal of weight loss, toning, and overall health.

I recently just transferred from my YMCA to Fit for Life. The difference: MORE space, MORE equipment, but most importantly, the cleanliness and the reduced cost of my monthly membership! Plus the Fit for Life organizes incentive events for the members. I'm trying to convince all my friends to switch to Fit for Life.

I went to FFL for about 3 years before moving, so I thought I should give it an unbiased review, after the fact. The gym is, like Retro, your standard $20 a month gym. Personally, I like Retro a bit better, but for what it was, FFL is not a bad place to workout if you're in the Cranford area. They weren't really sales-oriented and the staff (and owner) were friendly. Unlike the Retro crowd, the FFL crowd was a bit more disciplined (honestly, some of the people that go to Retro have no idea what they're doing, ruining the experience for avid gym members like myself). People re-rack their weights, monitor how long they occupy equipment, and clean up after themselves. It's very self-sustaining, which probably makes things easier on the FFL staff. I liked FFL. If I lived near there still, I would probably continue to go there. It's right off the Parkway, offers a lot of parking, and serves it purposes. Not a bad choice for anyone looking for a cheap, efficient gym.

Love it! I'm back at FFL after experiencing other gyms. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They keep current and up to date with new workout classes. The prices are cheaper than all of the gyms in the surrounding area. Very clean with convenient hours

About two months ago, I also switched to fit for life from a local YMCA. I love taking spin classes, and my previous gym only offered it a couple of times during the week. I switched to fit for life for its spin classes. Not only are the spin instructors amazing, but classes are offered 7 times during the week! They offer other great classes that I've tried as well. Overall, I am saving money for more of a workout. Prices, facility, staff, and equipment are also fantastic. Definitely worth the switch!
