Scary stuff. I wonder what they can find out about me....

This is awesome. It's also subtitled so if you're at work just watch it on mute.

:: Kaleidoscopes
Andy Gilmore

A master of color and geometric composition, Andy Gilmore's work is often characterized as kaleidoscopic and hypnotic, though it could just as well be described as visually acoustic, his often complex arrangements referencing the scales and melodies in music.

Gilmore’s journey toward this masterful style followed a long and winding road. He characterizes his pursuit of education as a tangled web, noting the bookstores, bakeries, and theaters where he worked were of more importance than the schools he attended in pursuit of his BFA, which he received from SUNY Empire State College.

After finishing school, Gilmore relocated to San Clemente, California, where he took up work for FourStar Distribution, resizing print ads for C1RCA Footwear and Forum Snowboards. It would serve as his introduction to the computer and lay the foundation for a career in digital art and design.

Andy Gilmore’s extensive list of clients includes Wired Magazine, The New York Times, Fast Company, Wallpaper*, Warp Records, and yes, Ghostly International. He currently lives and works in Rochester, New York.

Which Olympic sport would you have the highest probability of winning a medal, if you could dedicate your life to training? #olympics

Watch 15 people trying to unbox the Nexus 7

A little comic relief for those who are still waiting for their pre-orders:
Nexus 7: The Playground is Open - the box? not so much

For many, the most satisfying part of trying a brand new gadget is unboxing it. The highly anticipated Nexus 7 is no exception: but the sturdy box and high-grade tape definitely make it playful - perhaps too challenging!  Watching these videos on YouTube made me smile, so I decided to put them together; shake-n-bake included. Hope it makes you smile too. :-)

Includes clips originally from +CNET (+Molly Wood), +Phandroid (+Christopher Chavez), +TechnoBuffalo (+Jon Rettinger), +Pocketnow, +Los Angeles Times. By the way, this video is all in good humor.

Did you get your hands on the Nexus 7 yet (finally, for those who pre-ordered)? And how was the unboxing?

I haven't had that many deep dish pizzas yet but Blue Line Pizza is definitely the best deep dish pizza I've had in my life. Order the meatball deep dish pizza. You won't regret it. I pretty much love everything about the place. The decor is modern and clean, the food is excellent, and the service has been great so far. They have great beer selection on tap, too! Highly, highly recommended!

I just called to ask for a quote for a radiator change. The quote seemed a bit much so I asked what the quote will be if I put in the radiator coolant myself. He proceeded to tell me, "I think you need to deal with somebody else" then hung up on me. I'm never calling them again.
