On Thor's Day if you make the listen check, you might just be able to hear Thor bragging about when he rolled a natural 20.

"Sure, I remember - Loki was the dungeon master that night.

"I wanted to roll to see if I got drunk - but I had no idea the drinking horn was connected to all the world's oceans.

"So, when I rolled a natural 20, Loki declared that I had lowered the oceans so much that I had created the tides!"

HAPPY THOR'S DAY EVERYONE!

Spread the word for Gen Con's Special Charity Auction For The Gygax Memorial Fund:

"For a special portion of the Charity Auction, Wizards of the Coast has donated 100 lots of vintage gaming materials and curio to benefit the Gygax Memorial Fund. These lots are made up of items pulled from a trove of TSR archive material recently unearthed. Most of the items included are in original factory sealed condition."

Congrats - we always wondered what it would be like to add knockback rules to the D&D combat system......
Hero Games was recently nominated for an ENnie, an annual fan-based celebration of excellence in tabletop roleplaying gaming. Voting began on Friday, July 20 and ended on Sunday, July 29. I spoke with Jason Walters to find out why fans should consider Star Hero for Best Supplement and Product of the Year.

We have a confession, too.

We like the sounds that dice make when they roll.

Good stuff - what type of terrain-building materials, tools, or ideas do you use for your game?
Great comparison of the various options we gamers have for terrain in our tabeltop games. I personally use a dry-erase battlemat while my #DwarvenForge  collection grows. I have used some of the +Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Tiles sets and those were nice. The 3-D cardstock sets have me very intrigued though. #Terraclips  and #TerrainlinX  both look like they would be great fun to play with. I need to order a set and see how it goes.

Interesting....
I recently interviewed Sarah Lynne Bowman, a role-playing game expert and fellow author from McFarland Publishing. She took some time to answer my questions in this in-depth interview.
