Hello, I just started using autoCrat, and it's working very well so far. I just ran into a bug that I'm not sure how to fix. As a workaround for not having a "file upload" button, I added a text field where people could paste links to documents or images. In the spreadsheet, the links look fine, but in the merged document, hyphens are being replaced with "%C2%AD" so the links don't work from the merged document. Any ideas for how to fix this? I can just say, no hyphens, but I'm not sure if other characters will have the same problem.

Street artist JR incorporates archival photos into the decaying ruins of the many abandoned buildings on Ellis Island. It was definitely worth the cost, and supports restoring facilities that were damaged during Hurricane Sandy.

Having served on a Grand Jury, I can tell you that this process is a total waste of time. In a month of service, the grand jury I served on indicted 100% of the cases that came before us.

During the training session, I learned that the United States is the only country to still use Grand Juries; the rest have been replaced with some form of pretrial hearing because they are expensive and time consuming. Essentially, a case brought before a Grand Jury is a trial with only a prosecutor.

Here's an excerpt from the NY Grand Juror's Handbook:
The grand jury is an arm of the court. It is not an agent of the prosecutor or the police.A grand jury does not decide whether or not a person has been proven guilty. That is the trial jury's job. The grand jury decides whether or not a person should be formally charged with a crime or other offense. The grand jury makes that decision based on evidence presented to it by  the prosecutor, who also instructs the grand jury on the law.  The grand jury's decision must be based on the evidence and on the law.

Scientists Just Reversed Paralysis How do you repair human nerves?
Is it even possible? Well, the answer to the second question is “Yes,” according to new technology in development at King’s College in London.
The “how” part comes from light. Specifically, blue LED light, which the team says is the vital element to treating debilitating nerve damage for people with paralysis, such as those with motor neuron disease. They’ve discovered that by shining pulses of this blue light onto exposed nerves, it can restore nerve function – and movement – in paralyzed limbs. http://ow.ly/zHxTU
