We were there for a week this summer for a family wedding. The staff at the hotel were wonderful and made us feel like we were part of their family. The rooms were large, clean and air conditioned, with views of the jungle and the ocean. I have some mobility problems but with the help of the staff I was able to get from mountain top to the beach with very little trouble. We were treated well by not only the staff at the hotel but by everyone in town.

Despisable is the word. Very poor and unfriendly service : they usually forget what you book and are late when they don't. The inconfortable and constant feeling they seize all the options to steal your money. The only restaurant which is not dangerous for your health is the one offering pizzas. Avoid in any case.

The views are beautiful and you can see monkeys all The time. The pool are awesome and you can take a dip seen the pacífic. The breakfast is not buffet style and this is a mistake... You only can choose one thing on The menú

Very large clean comfortable rooms. Beautiful ocean views. This resort has a beautiful tropical feel to it. Several nice restaurants across the street. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The Zagat review of Costa Verde is completely wrong: There is no wooden walkway to the beach and the beds are not cast iron framed. This hotel offers cabins that are well spaced out over a large property on a steep hillside. It was a nice little trek to walk from our cabin to one of three swimming pools or to the car parking lot. Not very handicapped friendly. The cabins are decorated with hand-made solid-wood furniture made on-site. Tables, chairs, end tables and more are plentiful in each room. Our room had a king sized bed and a gorgeous balcony with ocean views. (Unit A-5). The in-wall AC unit worked fantastic. The shower is exposed to the jungle on 2 walls by large screen windows (no glass, just curtains). The water was warm. It felt like one was showering in the tree tops. The kitchenette featured a sink and stove top and fridge. In addition to nice mood lighting and regular ceiling lights, hand-made candle holders decorated the room. The grounds are gorgeous. Tropical plants, flowers were very well maintained. The swimming pool was lovely. You are really immersed in the jungle here: monkeys, iguanas, tropical birds, lizards and more. I would recommend this place in a heart-beat to friends or family. With the event pavilion and such, this is a perfect place for large groups for weddings, family reunions, etc.

Our room was beautiful, and the view was spectacular. The bed was lumpy, unsupportive and uncomfortable. The restaurants are good, especially the tenderloin at the one with the wood fired grill.
