... almost all of the milk sold in the United States is a cancer-causing concoction full of a growth hormone manufactured by Monsanto called ‘Posilac,’ or ‘BGH,’ otherwise known as ‘rBGH’ or bovine growth hormone.

The internet mystery that has the world baffled

Two years ago a puzzle appeared on 4chan, taking intrigued readers on an epic journey across music, philosophy, cyphers, steganography, cyberpunk literature, tor, real world scavenger hunts and telephone numbers manned by clue-dishing robots.

After a designated number of solvers visited the address, the website shut down with a terse message: "We want the best, not the followers."

Several people made it in, none of them are talking.  Allegedly "the best" are now solving puzzles in private.

Then at the start of this year, it started up again.

As to who is running the show, that's a question that's not getting any answers.

January 4 is when the next round of puzzles are due to begin.

Thinking back, I should have drawn Sulu in here since +George Takei is actually on social media. Oh well.

I hate to blatantly show my geekness but aren't Vulcans vegetarians? Sulu would have been a better choice.....

Awesome!!! That should apply to any organization that claims to be a "charity" or "non" or "not" for profit.

Excessive CEO pay robs working folks of the wealth they create

Something astounding is happening in Switzerland. For the first time ever, voters in a modern developed nation are going to be voting on whether to create what amounts to a “maximum wage.” In effect, under this “1:12 Initiative for Fair Pay,” no Swiss company would be able to pay its top executives more in a month than the company’s lowest-paid workers make in a year.

Third Juvenile Death Linked to "To Train Up a Child"

If you haven't heard of this "Christian" disciplinarian book yet, then you're in for a real treat.  The Pearl's ministry, which rakes in $1.7 million annually through the selling of this book to Christians and donations to military service members, details discipline techniques for children that would make the inmates at Guantanamo crinige.

"Late one night in May this year, the adopted girl, Hana, was found face down, naked and emaciated in the back yard; her death way caused by hypothermia and malnutrition. [...] Hana had been beated the day of her death, the report said, with the 15-inch plastic tube recommended by Mr. Pearl. [...] used because it 'hurts a lot, but leaves fewer marks to alert authorities.'"

There is absolutely no justification for this.  I tend to be moderately permissible to corporal punishment; but if you're devising a way in which to avoid leaving marks, that isn't punishment, it's sadism.  Using sleep and food deprevation to bring your children to the point in which they "do not have a breath to complain" is physical abuse; and wearing the object of your abuse around your neck is pyschological torture.

I think Westboro Baptist Church, for all of its corruption can no longer be seen as the height of religious evil in America.
