If you love beautiful glass you will love the Corning Glass Museum.
I first visited the Corning Glass Museum in the early 1970's.  My mother had heard the museum  had a large collection of early American pattern glass and she wanted to see it.  Back then it was a small museum with one lo...

Memorial weekend is only a week away. Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day started May 30 1868. It is a day of remembrance for those who have died serving our nation. To some people it has become a day for honoring all dead.
In December of 2000 the "National Moment of Remembrance" resolution was passed which asks at 3:00 PM local time all Americans to pause and observe  a Moment of remembrance and respect for those who have given their all to their country.
Some people take this time to go to the cemetery to care for the grave sites of their loved ones. How will you be spending your Decoration Day?  Reuzeit Emporum wishes you a safe one!

Everyone needs a beautiful Butter Dish, this pattern is called Models Gem 1893-1902 by the Model Flint Glass Co.
Around 1870, when Early American Pattern Glas...s was first made, just about everyone churned their own butter. Making butter was hard work because it was hand churned. The cream was skimmed off the fresh milk and churned until the yellow fat separated from the buttermilk and stuck together in chunks. Some of the butter was molded in a press and the butter was then stored in the EAPG butter dish on the table. Check out the other beautiful Butter Dishes at www.reuzeitmn.com
