Actually, I don't recommend this article at all.

For one thing, W8 claims to work even on older machines with slow hardware.

Secondly, jumping to another OS (getting off the windows train)  is for techs and  geeks unless you plan to go to Apple. Open Office has major issues if you're trying to save your application because it MS Office doesn't recognize the saved format OE uses. However, OE doesn't do a horrible job in converting your files into OE format.

Thirdly, as long as you have a decent antivirus program you're fine with an XP machine. Even then, if you're cautious at where you go, a good free firewall is all you need.

In summary,  I would say to people not to  listen to all this fear mongering by the likes of the Nerd Chicks (who don't even have their own Facebook page btw). Your XP machine is just fine and it will be fine as long as you don't do anything foolish. Just educate yourself in knowing where to go and where not to. I also recommend having your email forwarded to Gmail as they do a great job in scanning your emailing for malware and spyware.
Affordable computers can ease way to ditching unsupported XP operating system.

I wonder if this clinic is run by any associates or "“Indo-Canadian low cost Veterinarian" from Atlas Animal Hospital or others which had some run-ins with the College of Veterinary Surgeons?

Bussers do a great job. Food can get old quickly and it's not replenished very often. It's relatively fresh. My rating reflects the lack of variety and how now they're using lousy cheap imitation bacon bits. Staff attitude for the most part is excellent. Place is quite run-down and needs a makeover.

Decent and solid burgers. Staff is friendly. Highly recommended if you dont want to stuff yourself at the buffet at the casino next door.

Terribly OVER-rated reviews

La Quinta Inn & Suites Woodburn

Definitely one of the worst La Quinta motels I stayed in. Carpeting is quite run down. Rooms are jimmied to look ok but as soon as you touch something, it falls apart. Plumbing fixtures are loose but look ok as long as you dont touch them. Desks and cabinets, the same thing. Air Conditioner, although noisy has flaws with it and cool very poorly even when outside temps is 46 F. Knobs on A/C missing. Bedding is very thin. Pillows like toilet paper. Pool is outside which sucks, indoor has hot tub. This is quite an old building or at least it appears to be. No extra blankets in room. No safe. For those not familiar with La Quinta breakfasts, it's a very high carb high sugar breakfast. A self serve waffle maker, two kinds of cereal: raisin bran and fruit loops. Oatmeal is available. Small bagel and toast too. Only one type of egg: hardboiled egg. One fruit: apple. Dont let an included breakfast sway you. You can do much better at the neighbouring Jack-In-Box. Or just plan a bit and go to Wal-mart or Target for your morning breakfast supplies.

On the plus side, there is self service laundry at a very inexpensive charge. Modern HDTV with working channels. Staff is very friendly. There is a microwave and a fair sized fridge but not really a freezer. Standard hotel issue. There is a Wal-Mart across the street.

One should never, ever, pay rack rates for this motel. There is a sign on the door saying one room costs $99/night. That's crazy. Don't pay more than $50 when there are issues such as the above present. Use Hotwire or Priceline. I'll be writing a letter to La Quinta head office on this establishment as it certainly is not acceptable.
