Operation #00AFFE

tl;dr
130 Agents
15 Layer
>5M MU/Layer
>75M MU gesamt
13 Black Illuminator
1 Lagerfeuer
1 Kuchen

-------
Final Go 02:05Uhr > Feld stand 02:01Uhr
--------

“Hab KFC gelesen. Hat noch was auf?”
“MC bis 3.”
“Aber nur welches 3?... Neu oder alt?”
-------
“Macht ma hinne… Ich musste schon Gummibärchensaft trinken!”
-------
“Ich kann ned mal Pokebälle hacken. Das ist ne blöde Arena hier.”
-------
“Feeeeeeld! 1 MU, mitten in xyz!”
“Du bist der Beste.”
“Großartig. Gratulation.”
“Wieviel Layer?”
“Einer. Und ich musste dafür aussteigen! Jetzt ist mir kalt.”
-------
“Heute is auch Zeitumstellung. Ist ja vorher, oder?”
“Nachher. 2h.”
“Vorher.”
“Umstellung ist um zwei Uhr.”
“Nicht von 3 auf 2?”
“Wir sind vorher. Die Umstellung ist nacher. Von 3 auf 2. Korrekt.”
“OK.

It all started with „I need more unique visits“
„Oooookay, any idea where to get them?“
“Paris”
“PARIS??”
“Yeah why not?”
“Paris it is”
So +swen7 and +User380 decided to go to Paris to get unique visits.
We told a few people and as a result +Saxfusion and +Yaiggs said “sounds great, we will come with”
A date was found (11. till 14. Feb) and the discussion about mode of transport took a little while (train? car? train? car? TRAIN!!!).

Thursday 11 Feb
Thänk you for traveling with Deutsche Bahn AG! (next time with free wifi….like in 10-20 years)
After a relaxing train ride we arrived in Paris at noon.
During the ride +Yaiggs and +User380 tried to activate their SIM cards.
We bought our tickets for public transport at Gare de l'Est and headed out to find our flat.
After a quick scoop around the small but fitting apartment we hit the streets again.

TIME TO INGRESS!
Since only two of us bought their french simcards beforehand our first to be destination was the nearest Orange store to get some for +Saxfusion and +swen7.
A little confusion about what cards we needed and a very nice call from a local RES player to the shop later and they had them.
Many many thanks to the locals!
So we hit the streets again and went wandering around and visited as much portals as we can get to. First goal was platin pioneer for +Saxfusion
One unique visit was getting us headaches. In the middle of a roundabout with traffic lights that does not made any sense to us. +Saxfusion did not give up and the rest of us got it a few days later out of a bus.
Locals did ask if we are interested in a farm event and maybe later some food together. The farm event was to early for us but the food was a very good idea. And it was really nice. Both the food and the locals :D. They gave us soooooo many hints where to go to for uniques and what busses made sense and so on.

Friday 12 Feb
Didn’t use an alarm clock to get up. Had breakfast around 11 in the morning and were out on the streets again at 11:30 a.m.
First target was the Cimetière du Père Lachaise, where finally +Saxfusion got his platin pioneer and +Yaiggs her platin explorer. As we were walking around with our mobiles in hand, a lot of the other visitors asked us for directions to some graveyards (ie Jim Morrison or Edith Piaf). Made some jokes when fielding – lets call it ZU instead of MU (zombie units).
Next target: Louvre and it’s beautiful mosaic. After that one +Yaiggs wanted to do the “Le Jadin des Tuileries” mosaic that did not go along with the other three. So we split up. 1 1/2 hour until the garden would close so +Yaiggs had to hurry and the guys just did the same uniques without time pressuring them. So they thought *haha. They were so concentrated on the portals that security had to kick them out of the garden.
Already walked 25 km at that time but we were still not done for the day.
It was early enough in the evening to start the Notre-Dame mosaic. Yeah funny ways to walk, back - forward - back, and walk on every bridge and turn around. After 12 of the 24 mission +Yaiggs gave up, so we decided to go back to the flat, eat something and finish on Saturday.
During the day some locals asked, if we wanna take part in a little field. Just over the cemetery and its surroundings. We were tired and so they built it without us while we were on our way back to the flat. It was just a small one (HAHA) with round about 77k MUs per layer. We were so shocked about the amount of MU. We can also build fields with that amount, but we need to cover a lot more space to get that.
And YES – it did rain all day.

Saturday 13 Feb
Same as the day before – no alarm clock.
Heading for the next uniques around 11 a.m. and the sun was shining *wohooooo
But it did not last long and the rain was back after an hour. We finished Notre-Dame just when it’s starts to pour down on us again.
+Yaiggs was tired of the rain and so we split up. She jumped the next bus and was driving through the city for the next hour or so. After an hour the rain stopped, she was in the northeast of the city, jumped out of the bus and started the Géode de la Villette mosaic. In the middle of it the rain was back and she bought an umbrella as her jacket was no longer waterproof.
+Saxfusion, +swen7 and User380 were heading for the Jardin du Luxembourg but on their way they took a wrong turn and ended up in a total different garden. Did not matter, had uniques ;)
On their way +Saxfusion tried to burn down his mobile ... ok it was not intended and just did smoke a little but it did look wrong. Luckily (as well prepared ingress gamer) he had a second device with him (with a little tricky GPS).
Round about 6 p.m. we meet up again at Gare de Lyon and took a few bus lines for more portals without walking. The Guys complained a bit about +Yaiggs being so fast in capturing uniques, so she did a bit slower and everyone got some done.
During dinner back at the flat we discussed our last day to come.

Sunday 24 Feb VALENTINES DAY
This time with alarm clock – it rings at half 8 and we had breakfast around 9 a.m.
As decided the evening before we went southwest to do the Front de Seine mosaic. Big mistake, BIG BIG BIG mistake. The guys would have better been to Villette for the Geode mosaic.
Front de Seine had a weird surrounding and +Saxfusion had even more problems with the GPS of his secondary mobile than before. When +swen7, +User380 and +Yaiggs were finished, he was fighting to get mission 7 done. +Yaiggs settled on a bench near Statue de la Liberté and waited, while +swen7 and +User380 crossed the Seine and captured Radio France.
Near Eiffel Tower we had the worst and most expensive meal the whole weekend.
We took a last bus drive back to the flat, picked up our bags and went to Gare de l’Est.
With a little delay of the ICE we arrived tired and with a lot of nice memories in Mannheim 11 p.m.
At least +Yaiggs will go to Paris again. Missed round about 14k of portals. But not this year.

Operation Candy Mountain
Mannheim
14th November 2015

While everyone was busy fighting at Abaddon, seven smurfs undertook a magic journey to the mysterious Candy Mountain… and here is (as some people suspect) what may have happened:

…Friday evening 6 pm, everyone is out of town...a smurf is bored...and starts cleaning the city…2h later…7 pm…its 5 five of them…and so the discussion starts...

 > Why don’t we head for the Candy Mountain?! What?
We need a hangout with a nice picture in the title 🗻.
...Bli Bla Blub… we want to see the Candy Mountain!!!!
 ...what’s with the others?….

> Hey, Smurfs. Hey Smurfs, wake up!

> Oh God, you guys. This'd better be pretty freaking important.
Is the meadow on fire?

> No fellow Smurfs. We found a plan, a plan for the Candy Mountain.

> Is it real?

> Candy Mountain, Smurfs. Yeah, Smurfs, we're going to find the Candy Mountain.
Join us!…

...some are believers, others are more down to earth…but this is not their story...so let us continue…

Seven smurfs...

+BoKGambler - Banana King, cleaner, linker, keyfarming
+Bockwurstbrot - Banana King, cleaner, linker, keyfarming
+CWR22 - Unicorn, cleaner, linker, keyfarming
+deepstop - Banana King, cleaner, linker, keyfarming
+agunforjennifer - Unicorn, cleaner, linker, keyfarming
+AskYourMom - Banana King, cleaner, keyfarming
    +Max - magical Liopleurodon
+User380 - Banana King, cleaner, op, keyfarming

...undertook the quest for the Candy Mountain...but the plan to the Candy Mountain was poorly transcribed and more than confusing:

operate, build an item farm, clean, farm for keys, operate again, and clean again and you’ll be rewarded with the Candy Mountain

The smurfs racked their brains about it, started running in circles until…it became clear as a glass of moonshine…you have to upgrade Candy Portals to awesome Candy Portals!
You have to have enough Candies and the Candy Mountain magically appears!!!

...and they started singing aloud for joy:

Put a banana in your ear
A Banana in my ear?
“keyfarming”
Put a ripe banana right into your favorite ear
It's true
“cleaning”
Says who?
Once it's in your gloom it will disappear
The bad in the world, is hard to hear, when in your ear a banana cheers!
So go and put a banana in your ear…

...until one of them stopped…

> We need an operator!

The others agreed...so smurf +User380 went home to give some last instructions….while +AskYourMom, +CWR22, +agunforjennifer and +deepstop were cleaning last areas and started upgrading candy portals...after quite some time they were ready...and smurfs +BoKGambler and +Bockwurstbrot started summoning the Candy Mountain…
...guess what…IT IS REAL!!!!

It appeared! 48 Layers of 91018 Candies. Seven smurfs found the Candy Mountain!!!!
