Introduction
Greg Kessler is Associate Professor of Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) in the Department of Linguistics and Director of the Language Resource Center at Ohio University. He teaches CALL teacher preparation and research methods courses. His research addresses CALL teacher preparation, teacher and student language use in collaborative constructivist language learning, the role of students and teachers in innovative pedagogical contexts, student and teacher autonomy, and the relationship between technology and change in the English language. He has published widely in the area of CALL. He was theCALL IS chair for the Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from 2003-2004 and president of Ohio TESOL from 2007-2008. He co-authored the TESOL Technology Standards Frameworkas well as the full volume, TESOL Technology Standards: Description, Implementation, Integration. He is currently interim co-director of the Computer Assisted Language Instruction Consortium (CALICO) and editor of the Action Research Column for the journal Language Learning & Technology. He has taught CALL teacher preparation courses and programs across the US as well as in Burma, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Mexico, Montenegro, Saudi Arabia, Serbia & Turkey.
