What is really cool about the modern Palihouse in West Hollywood is that guests can stay one night on up to a year in one of the 37 modern residential-style oversized suites and two story condominiums. It’s a stylish compound with a top notch brasserie-style restaurant serving breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch and dinner prepared by Executive Chef Mathew Woolf. The suites range from 600 to 2000 sq. ft. with open floor plans, kitchens and Queen and King size beds and outdoor patios or balconies. After 9:30 p.m. the lobby and bar area becomes a rocking night club on the weekends with revolving DJs. Up on the roof is one of the best view spots in West Hollywood for a creative cocktail overlooking the Hollywood Hills and the twinkle lights of the greater Los Angeles area.

I've only been here for events so I can't say too much on the rooms, but I've always liked this little boutique hotel. Not too main stream but still a local gem, I've always had fun here and the people watching is pretty good. The food isn't bad either. The only bad thing is that parking in the area can be a little tough.

Palihouse is gorgeous. Very accommodating and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant was lovely and surprisingly not overpriced. Excellent martinis from the bar. Will definitely repeat business

Went to Palihouse for an art event, which was "very LA". Good vibe, good atmosphere, and a few celebrity sightings. Overall a nice place to hang out.

I've stayed at the hotel twice now and was thrilled the first visit …stylish, big rooms, and great locations for my needs. Unfortunately this time wasn't the same experience. the room looked worn, the TV remote scenario is messed up and it wouldn't work at all in the bedroom. I arrived on Monday evening around 7:30 and was going to call it an early night and hang out in the room and order room service….well there is NO Room Service on both Sunday and Monday the restaurant is closed. The fan in the bathroom was crazy loud ! the tile in the bathroom was all stained & chalky…On Tuesday night there was VERY loud music going till after 11:00pm…which is usually fine for me but I was there for business…my business partner's room had many items that didn't work as well and looked worn. I went out to several business meeting during the day and returned at 3:45pm and my room still wasn't made up…I needed to shower to get ready for a 5:00pm appt. ..there was a knock on the door at about 4:00pm… I answered it and I said I'll be leaving in 15 to 20 minutes…I was told it will have to be fast because he was going home at 5:00pm !!! This is a SMALL hotel it shouldn't take from 8:00am in the morning to almost 5pm to get a room's a shame but I won't be back…too bad to see a nice hotel fall so quickly.

I had some friends in town for the weekend and wanted a fun place to gofor dinner that wasn't too 'mainstream'. I found out about Palihouse on the Dine LA website, and checked it out. The Dine LA menu offering was great, for a great price. The reviews were good and the photos were cool, so I figured I would make a reservation to try it out for ourselves. I was SO impressed. We sat in the outdoor courtyard, which was beautiful with string lights giving a romantic feel. The waiter was awesome and had a great sense of humour, but also was very professional. The wine/beer prices were a bit expensive, but for a nice dinner it's not like we were guzzling the stuff, so I didn't mind. The greatest part was THE FOOD. I had the ceasar salad with "chicken nuggets" on it and an EGG, the roasted brussel sprouts with bacon and the chicken-apricot pot pie. All of the flavours were perfect together. I actually can't think of a time I have ever had better food. I was so full but didn't want to stop eating. I loved the food so much I know I will definitely be back to have the same things again. The only weird part is that the restaurant is in the hotel, so I always think its kind of weird eating in a hotel restaurant but not being a guest. But the hotel is a boutique-ish hotel, so no formal lobby. In fact, the lobby is more of a lounge and they have a foos-ball table and other loungey-type things in there for entertainment. I definitely recommend this place for a first date, romantic night, socializing with friends, etc. I wouldn't recommend it if you're just looking for a cheap place to get smashed. A+++++
