I really love the general underlying tone of this article. I'm all for AAA $20,000,0000 game but it feels like the trend to hit a "traditional" blockbuster home run with every product is bound to end eventually

I think it's mirroring the movie landscape at this point. You have the power houses with resources churning out low-risk AAA titles. With the indies taking chances and creating games that are special. Steam is really helping those guys out giving them exposure that years ago wasn't possible.

I was going to post on G+ about the open Diablo 3 beta so I could get some peoples tags and play. Then I started playing and got so engrossed I forgot to do that....

I'll make sure to call you if there's another one bro! Like I said I got so engrossed playing that whole weekend somehow disappeared on me!

That "Open Beta" was also to stress test so I doubt another one will show (although I sure hope it does!). If not release date is on Mya 15th, so we're almost there!

I think someone buried a giant in the wall of my apartment stairwell. This is obviously his big toe.

Another fun day with +Electronic Arts Origin shit pile service

Below is an excerpt in the multi month crusade to get my origin account working. I would paste it all but I was in chat for over 2 hours and the log is giant. I think the important part is all laid out towards the end of our conversation anyways.

HERE WE GO!!!
Amresh:
David, as per the account details here with me, the Billing address and the Credit Card
Account address are different, which is causing an error. Please try to use a different
e-mail address in which the billing address is same as the credit card address.
you:
Where can I change my account address in Origin?
Amresh:
I am afraid it can not be changed for the e-mail which you provided me now. Please
use a new e-mail address with the changed address to place the order.
you:
but I have software that I own under that first email address
you:
I need to make a new origin account?
you:
How can I not change the address associated with my account?
Amresh:
I am afraid David, information once filled with one e-mail address for Origin account can not be changed again.
you:
So every time I move I need to sign up with a new account?
Amresh:
I am afraid, you will need to do so. I know this is indeed annoying. Our tools are created in such a way.
Amresh:
I really apologize for the inconvenience made to you.
Amresh:Thank you for contacting EA. Is there anything else I can help you with today?_

BIG smile for this one. A centralized distribution system would be a HUGE catalyst for linux gaming support!

How Linux is built!

Interesting video about Linux and how it is built. Explained in a very easy way so you can understand that stuff also as a non-techie ;-)
