Exquisite Tapas and an extensive wine list. Sommelier was very helpful; service was awesome. Brussel sprouts, goat cheese, salmon tartare, and octopus are delicious.

This is a fantastic place to go for a more intimate dinner. The main dining room is beautiful and the food is awesome too. Paela is really well done as well as other traditional tapas. Also recommend the sangria.

My girlfriend and I were having dinner and everything was perfect until.… a giant mouse ran across the floor. we had already finished our entire meal and a bottle wine. We immediately approached our server who shrugged it off and said "oh you saw one, yea that's typical." We asked to see a manger and he was worse. Laughing it off he expressed he would call the extermination crew tomorrow and never once apologized or tried to convey concern. Totally grossed out by the senior staff and less of the mouse...

Mouse in the house! My wife and I were at Alta this evening, and sure enough, we witnessed a little mouse running around on the floor of the upper dining area. The restaurant at the time was not overly crowded, so the little guy was able to roam freely without any problem. Still, we witnessed this from afar, as did a couple at a nearby table visiting New York for the weekend. I called over our server and in a polite and patient voice said, “I don’t want to alarm you, but we saw a mouse in the back of the dining area.” The server stayed calm and said, “Oh, you did? OK.” And she walked away. No apology on behalf of the restaurant, and no real alarm to the information that was just provided to her. In fact, her reaction made it seem like this was common. Really? To add insult to injury, she proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the evening. Unbelievable. If you want to see mice roaming the floors during dinner, this is your restaurant. Otherwise, please avoid this place.

We pulled up this place on Google Maps by looking for "near," not too expensive and "open now" after a long walk in the Village on Saturday. The place was buzzing, but they had room for the 3 of us, and we WORKED that small plates menu! Highlights: the roasted trumpet mushrooms, the short rib empenadas, and the smoked mozzarella. Cocktails: can recommend their version of a Manhattan (with Port!) and their own sangria (rumor has it the secret ingredient is rum). Save room for dessert...we ordered 2, and a glass of Madeira to split, and cleaned up the wonderful pannacotta and carrot cake. We'll be back.

Tapas restaurant with... very good tapas! The size of the tapas are small but the price is not as small as the size ;-) But I definitely recommend it. The place is big so you can go with several friends, and you can book a table in advance.

Made a reservation two nights before for Sat 8pm. This place is very easy to miss as there are no signs, and it you have to walk down some steps to the small entry way. I unfortunately made the mistake of coming here HONNGRYY. Unless you got some $$, don't come to a tapas place hungry. Gnocchi ($12) - a little sour of a marinara/vodka type sauce. On the bitter end. Not sure if that's what it was supposed to be, but I embraced it. Remember.. hungry! Japanese Eggplace ($10) - Asian/Spanish fusion? I'm down. The eggplant was smoked which I personally don't have a palette for but it was well cooked. Falafel ($7) - Pretty standard with some a liquidier hummus ALSO only cash/Amex!
