Thanks for the invitation. I currently have three blogs, only two of which I update close to regularly. And that's not counting Pinterest.

I took up a photo challenge for a photo of something I love to share my love for the sky and the trees under it. Come walk with me over the bridge after a rain.

This is how I usually start my day unless the morning is very cold. It's cheap and easy.

This is a reference I found on Bubblews with links to sites about all historical periods world wide up to the present. It's your job to decide how accurate or biased the sources linked to are before relying on them. So much history written today has an agenda to promote it has to match.

What it all seems to come down to is a desire in everyone's heart to give everyone an equal opportunity to share in a country's resources and to preserve what is beautiful so everyone can continue to enjoy it.

I believe, and the history of my country has shown that people who have the will to work and produce their best expect to be rewarded with pay. Without that incentive, they often don't reach their   full potential and contribute all they can to making the world a better place.

The problem with socialism in a very large country such as ours is that it ruins the incentive for everyone to produce. I believe a society has to have a way to provide for those who are unable to work for health reasons. It used to be the family and the church here until the government got involved. That kept the solution local and in the hands of those who best knew the real needs of the families.

A large centralized government the size of the US government cannot possible do a good job with welfare programs based on real need. Tht makes fraud easy and millions, if not billions, are wasted that help no one but crooks who feather their nests with it.

I don't have time to write more now, but many countries such as yours which are held up as models for how socialism can be successful are nowhere near the size of the United States.

Introduction
I'm a native Californian, but had a chance to see more of the country while my husband  was on contract in Seattle and Massachusetts. That's when we started our home school experience. After the nest was empty, we joined the home education vendor circuit and made several trips to home school conventions in PA, OH, CO, OR, WA, VA, and other cities. When my husband became disabled, I moved my business onto the Internet. Later on I enthusiastically helped Tomfolio.com, the independent used booksellers cooperative get off the ground and have sold used books there for many years quite happily. I finally moved most of my educational resources there, as well, in addition to continuing to sell them to schools through my first web site.
