I like your hint about using the changing cloud formations. Those are some lovely photos.
Tawas Point Lighthouse is located along the Michigan coast of Lake Huron. The lighthouse has been in operation since 1876.  Today the lighthouse is part of Tawas Point State Park.  If you have ever dreamed of being a lighthous...

I had never heard of lightships before - only lighthouses. You earn something new everyday.
Lightships on the Great Lakes Lightships were used as lighthouses on the Great Lakes in places where it was not feasible to built regular lighthouses.  The Huron Lightship was one of these ships and it was the last one that ...

Such beautiful scenery.  Love those large photos that can be shared through Buffer. The sky sure provides a nice background in that Halifax Harbour photo.
Cruising to Canadian Ports I had heard about the interesting lighthouses in Nova Scotia and was anxious to photograph them. In the fall of 2010, a group of us went on a cruise that started in New York City and stopped at se...

That's a very balanced review. I never seem to have time to watch movies. I'm not sure I'm ready for this one. The books I read give me plenty of food for thought. When I do take time to see a movie, I want to escape into comedy instead of having to think too much.
Sadly, Jennifer Anniston’s “Cake” did not do for chronic pain syndrome what “Still Alice” did for Alzheimer’s. It failed to bring to light the complexity of this illness, or at the very least, show what one human being g...

It sounds like a book I'd enjoy. Would I be able to understand Taglish?

I'm sorry for your loss. It's always sad when something you love breaks and can't be replaced.

I can't believe how big the fruit is compared to the monkey. Click through for the video.
After using some tactics we have seen to it that this little fellow is not seen around the house. He is now  on top of trees which is fine for us. Today I saw him right on top of our jack fruit tree. I marvelled at the way he would get to the fruit, hold it with both his hands standing at a distance so that he could get the grip  and peal it off with his teeth. He would then collect enough in his hands squat there and finish them and then come fo...

I love petunias, but didn't get around to planting any this year.

+Barbara Radisavljevic, my mother loved petunias too. I remember her petunia patches from my childhood. The Mexican petunia is  a bit different, though, and I really like the way that it grows.

I'm writing a blog post about what people are doing with their content now that Squidoo is gone and HubPages isn't always a good home for what used to be lenses. I could use some feedback on what you've done with your content. Did you concentrate more on your own blogs, start a new blog, or a start a multi-subject website? Did you find another site you felt was a good fit for your Squidoo content? I'm seeing how creative some people have been and wondering if I've missing anyone.

I've never seen the Yucca in bloom or up close. I didn't realize it was so lovely.

Story

Live simply, capturing nature with words and camera.
Introduction

I have lived in and loved California my entire life and now reside on its beautiful Central Coast. The longer I live in San Luis Obispo’s North County, the more contented I become here. Most of my waking hours when I'm  not occupied with chores,  you will find me blogging, reading, walking around with my camera in hand, tending my garden, or dabbling in the local art scene. I hate shopping, and do it only if we will starve if I don't.

Bragging rights
I've been married to the same man for over fifty years and we have loved and been bereaved of two adopted children.
