Dined here on Valentines Day. The service was the worst I have ever experienced. The server, Jackie, was short of rolling her eyes at us. I do not know why. We were seated at the bar lounge and not the dining room. I asked why and Jackie rudely barked that when I made reservation I did not specify I wanted to be in the dining room. I guess I should have specified. We tried to order appetizers, she would not take our order because she wanted to come back and take "the whole order" at one time. My husband ordered filet medium-well, repeating himself 3 times, she still brought medium-rare. Aside from having the worst dining experience ever, the food was sub-par. As we were exiting the hostess was laughing at the manager, Pier, with the coat check person. How inappropriate. I cannot believe a server would allow herself to be SO rude to guests. The attitude was unbelievable.

always good but the decor is very old and i understand they are ready for an update soon. that will make it an excellent place to go again. it really needs a facelift worse than i do.

20 of us had dinner last evening,September 27, 2013. We had a private room and were served cocktails, appetizers and then dinner. The staff, headed by Pierre, could not be more attentave. The food, service and ambiance was excellant. All of our group was delighted. It was truly a great evening. Thank you Giovanni's.

I had ordered the medalions, but I was served something that was cubed and not attractive. The server insisted that was my order and would not ask the chef. I did not eat the unidentified meat and I will not be back considering the price. The decor looked like they changed the color, but they didn't update any features.

Went there for a wine dinner, so ate items not on menu. The location is a little stodgy and 1980s formal, but the chef is young and very creative. My meal's 1st course was a parmesan custard served in egg shell propped up on a bed of salt paired with Osetra caviar and anchovy crostini. The Chilean Sea Bass belly pieces cooked sous vide and then crusted with horseradish paired with heirloom cauliflower was one of the best fish dishes I've had. Veal cheeks with sweet breads and OH sirloin with foie gras also amazingly good. Finished the night with chocolate pot de creme. I was also impressed with how well the chef paired the food with the wine. The chef is very talented, creative, and is using good and, when possible, local ingredients. The service is exceptional, especially from the host. The wine list is probably the best in Cleveland (definitely top 3). If you want Olive Garden or Macaroni grill food or prices, it's not for you.
