Here's my latest SE-Scholar Newsletter for January 2015

Big news for 2015. Sometime this spring INCOSE will release SE Handbook version 4 (SEHv4), dependent upon the approval and release of the new version of ISO 15288. Now is the time to get SE Certified. The new handbook will have more pages and processes, so  sign up NOW and learn SEHv3.2 before the June deadline.

The SE Scholar newsletter was just sent out. It contains three announcements:
(1)  I'm going to INCOSE IS2014 and was invited to moderate the closing plenary on Thursday morning.  http://www.incose.org/symp2014/
(2) I created a video called  "How to get INCOSE Certified in 3 Steps." It covers the high level criteria for getting certified. Let me know what you think. How to get INCOSE Certified in 3 Steps
(3) We still have our Special Video Version of our INCOSE ASEP/CSEP Exam Preparation Course on our website. http://se-scholar.com/training/video-version-asepcsep-exam-preparation-course

INCOSE ASEP/CSEP Exam Preparation Course -  New Video Version Available

I’ve just finished two classes and realized that I had enough recordings of my lectures that I can offer a “video version” product at a substantially reduced cost. The beauty of this product is you can study the material at your own pace. It includes over 16 hours of instructional videos and all the material from the regular class including study guides, comprehensive Process Flow diagram, practice quizzes and exams. And I’m only an e-mail away if you have any questions or if any of the concepts are confusing.

Of course you should only take the exam prep course after your application has been submitted and accepted by INCOSE. If you missed my free webinar, “Understanding the INCOSE Certification Process” it’s OK because I have a “video version” of that as well. I added it to the ASEP/CSEP Exam Preparation Course for your convenience.

Go ahead ... take that next step to advance your career in Systems Engineering! http://se-scholar.com/training/video-version-asepcsep-exam-preparation-course

I did the INCOSE Webinar 61: The Future of Systems Engineering this past Feb 19, 2014. It was great to see such interest and such a vibrant discussion. According to our host, Andy Pickard, it had “the most active chat line that I have seen in a webinar to date!” I was thinking we could continue our conversation via the comments section of my SE Scholar Blog. The blog post contains a copy of the Presentation, webinar Video, and a link to INCOSE 2020 Vision.  My Blog Post: The Future of Systems Engineering (Vision 2020) is at http://se-scholar.com/se-blog/2014/2/24/the-future-of-systems-engineering-vision-2020 It's my hope we'll do this again when INCOSE releases SE Vision 2025.
