+Ingress I'm sure this has been proposed already: could you give us the ability to upgrade over our own mods of the same type (for no AP gain of course) in the same way we can with resonators?

+Vikash Ratanji Only upgrading the same type of mod could work, and sounds quite reasonable.

What do you guys think about the idea of having different notification sounds for different events in-game?

Say, the default sound for comms, and something a bit more sinister (Like Vega - A notification tone found on CM) for when your portals are being attacked/neutralised? I just thought it would be interesting to be able to convey more information though sound (for those of you that have them enabled anyways).

+Rachel enlightend that's very clever! Seriously ditched the email notifications ages ago... I'm also very lazy :)

Also - For F***'s sake, how can we still not upgrade over/replace or even remove our own mods? Surely giving us the ability to re purpose portals via changing their mods would add another tactical element to the game?

The amount of times I've accidentally added link amps in a dense area of portals is maddening.

How about upgrading mods, like the same mod from common to rare and very rare... This would be great...!

So I've noticed a couple new badges recently. That's pretty cool.

Could we potentially provide a greater incentive to maintain (recharge the resonators on) portals though the badge system? This could be called the Sentinel badge or something (I'm sure you guys can think of a name that doesn't suck).

Personally I'd like to see which players are actually supportive of others though the earning of this achievement. Maybe it's awarded for recharging the resonators of other agents instead of just your own?

Tell me what you guys think.

Charging is as important as any other action within Ingress. A fully charged portal will require more XMPs to destroy and therefore deplete the enemy's inventory. This should be rewarded.

Another random idea: How about being able to consume power cubes quickly by holding down on empty space (not on a portal or an item) within the map view, and dragging downward?

I imagine it could operate similarly to how we quick fire XMP's? Could even incorporate the bonus system for higher XM yields ;p

Just food for thought. Would love to hear your ideas and opinions.

Hey guys, thanks for the recent update!

Just a suggestion for the new passcodes menu, what do you just think of: instead of having to press a button to get to the passcode input menu, you instead: have the input field with a button underneath it to redeem so, it's just a little bit faster? also having the keyboard [enter] function in the same manner?

To make it faster, still, perhaps you could test out moving the tab closer to the inventory.

Maybe even a swipe in gesture from the side of the screen? - This conforms to Google's newer approach to app design, however I feel such a gesture/menu system might break the 'meta' feel of the Ingress scanner app that we've grown to love so much. +DeCode Ingress, what do you think?

+Ingress , could you make the chat channel selection a bit more apparent in-app? (for example, underlining the channel we are currently communicating in to make it a bit more obvious.) I can't tell you how many times I've blurted out confidential stuff in the 'All' channel by accident, but in direct sunlight, it's a bit hard to tell unless you can see [secure]-stamped messages from fellow agents.

Just a thought, thanks for your time.

Happy hacking.

+I. Belfor, I use hangouts as well, but I find faction chat easier, especially with the addition of the new chat notifications.

I guess I'll move onto using hangouts a lot more. It's better for finding local agents too i suppose.
